I screwed up and didn't get any force powers able to destroy the jedi "pod" thingies for the final battle with malek. Is there any way to get these at this point? Or am I going to have to sink another 40 hours of play into this game just to beat it?

Here's a trick you can try that i did but it is quite difficult. First of all I saved a lot so I could go back and make sure when you level up you choose lightning. If you did't save a lot you can load up on stimulants and fight him until he goes for the first pod. when he gets done regenerating save your game using a different slot. Then just keep running away from him. When you're far enough away pause the game and choose one health up then unpause and after you use the health start running again. Keep doing this till you have enough strenght to fight him again. Save the game each time under a different slot when you make more progress.

thx. I had a feelling that's what it was going to boil down to. Sux, I wanted to see the darkside ending after playing the game lightside the enire way. Luckily, my lightiside path is still saved before you go to the Star Forge, so i can use that experience trick with the T3-M4 at the Rakata Base (or something like that ;) ).

Thanks for the help

Be sure you get force lightning to destroy the captive jedi and you'll win P.S. I'll bet you're waiting for cheats codes as much as I am. Let me know if you find any like Infinite health or force.:)

This is a great game.. I beat it earlier today, and then started a new game as a female scout. She's kinda hot, or maybe I'm just perverted...

The First time I beat it took me 33 Hrs. as a male soldier/guardian. Then I replayed as a Male scout/setinel and defeated the game in 23 hrs and 45 min, I even made jedi in 6 hrs instead of 10 like the gamepro told me. I am currently on my third try this week and a half I've owned it and I found the best combination which is a female scoundrel and choose a jedi counselar. You'll have more abilities to choose from and I'm now on the star forge as we speak. but what is really cool is that I've made over 54 saves throughout the game so when I'm done I don't have to start from scratch. I just can't put this game down, it is too addicting. And even more so when cheat codes come out.

I was hoping there was a cheat for all force powers,...it's just frustrating getting to the last level and realizing your SOL because you followed the light side too closely and got all the light side techniques :swear: . Live and learn. Just got to Dantooine in 6 hours myself (Taris is easy as hell when you know where to go) and am having fun being a total prick, (going for the full on darkside experience). I think I actually did all the side quests too (bounty hunter, promised land, etc.). And I've only used female PC's so far. Dunno why, maybe it's fun having them fight the Dark Jedi in just their underwear

Yeah but it sucks because they give your female character a one piece but bastila gets a mini-bicini.:( It took me forever to beat Malak as a Jedi scoundrel/Counsler. After I destroyed all the chambers I had to keep running only to turn around to hit him with one jedi wind and then run again. That tactic took me 30 minutes till he was finally down enough to hack away at him. Do me favor. Make sure you learn double weapons fighting and use a double bladed lightsabre with the Krayt pearl and upari or damind. That will kick Malaks butt. Also before you leave Korriban be sure to buy the dominator gauntlets in the dreshdae cantina they will boost your strength by +5. And since you're a bad guy be sure to have enough spikes to buy Darth Revans robe which will give you healing qualitys. Good luck as a bad dude and may the Evil be with you, always.

Too bad it doesn't give you extra defense points by distracting the sith. I mean after all they give in to passion, don't they?

good point, but just look at what the "Dark Side" does to their faces <shudders to imagine what's under their robes  )

Maybe that's why Anakin was miserable when he became Darth Vader. When he turned to the dark side he "lost" his only way to keep Natalie Portman(Padme).hahaha. I would choke everybody too if I couldn't choke something else. Thinking on this I think I'll be a Jedi next time I play.

Lol....yah, you should be a jedi, not only do they have alot of useful healing/support powers, helping innocent people instead of killing them is a much more rewarding experience :smokin:
I know that sounds kinda nerdy, but it's true.

ok, I'm trying to fight malak for the last time and doing a pretty crappy job of it. I have only advanced medpacks left, and not many of those. I also have battle stims & such, but is that enough? I've done everything without even my hubby helping me so far {which makes me very proud since he always kicks my butt in any game}...I'll be so upset if I'm not able to win this last battle. Any suggestions? A health or medpack cheat would be absolutely wonderful at this point.

I'm just going to lay a bunch of mines and death field him to,....death. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Darkside rules, you get soo many more creds. And that Deathly glow about you is just cool.

It really sucks though at some points. Like when you sell that ladies wraid plate for her. I felt pretty bad when i told her to take a hike:cry: .

As for the problem with malek, are you about to fight him or have you fought him and he's on his last leg? Cuz, if your going at him for the first time, just hope you have an offensive FP (Destroy Droid, Drain Life, etc.) Killing him 7 times is fairly impossible.

Half-White

Well....how many stims do you have left, Cat? Pause the game to use a bunch of different kinds of stims, cast force immunity, and use a dueling shield. If anything wears off, pause and re-use them immediately. In between rounds (when Malak runs off to heal himself) go to the submenu and use Heal a bunch of times. (that way, you can recover health instantly). And if you have force lightning, use it to kill the captive jedi so that Malak can't heal himself. (That's optional, but it'll make the fight much easier.) Also, after you win a round or two, save in a new slot.

If you run out of stims or you don't have very high Force Points, you're pretty much screwed..

Make sure you destroy all the captive jedi so he doesn't regenerate again. Then just keep running then pause and highlight a heathpack and click on it then unpause in which you'll use it right away. then keep running till you get more distance from him. Note: use an Hyper adralcity stimpack to run faster than him. When your health is up enough attack him with a force wind or a flurry if it doesn't hit the first time start running. Keep doing this until he has a lot less health than you almost out than attack him relentlessly.
P.S> always pause when your far from him and save a new slot before you decide to attack so if you die you can choose another option. I used 50 save slots to beat him and I kicked butt. Enjoy your ending.

Wow, thanks for all the help! The running around thing was great...I just ran until my force filled back up and then ran and healed myself until my health was full and then ran until my force was full again...and while I was doing that, I also destroyed all the jedi and took a few pot-shots at Malak...both were easily done with a light saber throw {one of my fav. attacks, might I add}. So now I'm done, but I HAVE to play it again. So I started 2 games at once; one is gonna be dark-side, 'cuz I haven't done that yet. But I feel so bad for being mean that I have to play a second game being light-side again...kinda atone for myself, you know? Plus there are things I did poorly or missed out on or totally screwed up {I didn't save Bastila, and it almost made me cry!} that I want to fix. I'm sure this time around will go faster too, since I actually have a clue what I'm doing.
Well, when I'm not a jedi, I'm a mom, so I'd better go do that now. ;) May the force be with you all.

God, this fight is such bull****! I don't have any destructive force powers. What the hell were devs thinking when they designed this ****ing fight? That everyone who bought the game would magically have one of those force powers?!

Idiots. There is no way I can beat this game now. It's impossible. I've been trying to do it for a week, but I don't have force resistance or any destructive force powers. My only save game is after Malak has used the dead Jedi twice.

All that GOD DAMN time is a ****ing waste because LucasArts decided to make the last battle of the game the most linear in the whole god damn history of RPGs!

I had that same problem too, seems kind of silly to me. Used Bastilla and Jolee for all my droid killing the first time through, pissed me off soo much when I got to that last fight.

OK. I've read about many if not all of you claiming the ending was too difficult. I was total light side the whole time first time through. Had no offensive powers to destroy captured jedi corpses that Malak used to refresh himself. Though it took time, I had no problem defeating him. He can only replenish so many times. It only took me 10-15 mins tops to kill him. Remember to plan ahead and know what feats and powers do what. Best level combination is 8 in the non-jedi class and 12 as a jedi. Anything less as a jedi and you miss out on a couple of important feats. My favorite combo is a scout becoming gaurdian. Good balance of skills, feats, and powers. Best way to proceed is to pick a path of feats for the character and stick with it. Dont keep jumping around. Love the game. As for the cheats listed for this game on this site, I have to say "SHUT UP AND STOP WAISTING MY TIME!!!" First, over half the stuff is just "DUH" comments. THose need to vanish into the void. The ones that are supposed cheats arent. Me and several friends have tried numerous time and came to the conclusion they dont work. The only one mentioned that was found to work was the computer in the dueling room on Koriban. But for it to cost Zero spikes you need a computer skill of 32. Though it is important to note that you can redeem a single spike for 260 points of experience each time you spike to use the data base. Each spike adds up (260 each time 10 spikes = 2600 xp). Aslo found a galaxy droid on the Ebon Hawk that will take you anyplanet or place you can land your ship instantly. This included destroyed planets and ones that normally require star maps. Now lets see how many people ask me how. Oh, I'm done venting now.

Buddy, I know how you're feeling...but I went light-side all the way AND only went with the recommended stuff on my level-ups, so I basivly didn't have anything terribly impressive to help me at the end. Any sort of projectile weapon (a gun, grenade or light-saber throw) will help. Don't bother using grenades on malak, 'cause he'll usually move before they get to where he was when you threw it...but you can use them on the captive Jedi to kill them so he can't regenerate. If you have a jedi heal power, run from him until you have enough force to heal yourself. Then shoot him/throw your lightsaber...just try to stay away from him. Once you get the hang of it, Malak's not really all that tough. ;) Good luck
