need help on gost recon: island thunder

I can't get past the 1at mission, this game is really hard, can anyone out there help me.

it is a difficult game but aim more on tactics then just running in shooting, I have a friend who has completed on every difficultly and all the quick missions single man, no squad, o maybe he can help just tell me what exactly u need help with and get back to u

I only rented the game i didn't buy it, i beat the first mission and a few others but got stuck on the one where you have to keep the leader guy from getting to the choper.
