call of duty cheats

could anyyone help me i am a novice at all of this i am trying to put cheat codes in call of duty i have used my desktop shortcut and properties and entered code but when i play the game and press tilde button to open console nothing happens any ideas please:swear:

Note: The cheat codes only work in Single player, not in Multiplayer.

Right-click on your Call of Duty icon on your desktop (or wherever you put it), then select "Properties" under the "Shortcut" tab, go to "Target" then add this command line parameter (without the quotes) “+set monkeytoy 0 + set sv_cheats 1”

Once click Apply or Ok.


Note:

If the game responds “sv_cheats are read only”, then try typing this “setrandom sv_cheats 1” (without the quotes) in the console before activating the codes.

If you, on the other hand, are getting "cheats are not enabled on this server" message then type: "spdevmap burnville" (without the quotes).

Once all done, start the game. After you've spawned in the game, press the ~ (top left corner of your keyboard - most of them) during the game play to display the console window. Enter one of the following codes at the console window to activate the corresponding cheat function

when i do wot you suggested i just get response sv_cheats is:"0" default "0" setrandom sv_cheats 1 unknown cmd selection so wot am i doing wrong do you know thnx:nova:

Did you try typing "setrandom sv_cheats 1 " (without the quotes) that into the console before you typed you codes?

i clicked on my desktop shortcut and opened properties put in command clicked apply&ok loaded game pressed button on keyboard the 1 below escape then put in commands sv_cheats and get response"0"default"0" so i put in setrandom sv_cheats 1 and get message unknown cmd selection and thats it:flamer:

Oh man, I don't know whats wrong with it. I can't think of anything that could be wrong...
