Dude, question for ya regarding the card game:

I went to Wal-Mart and saw a whole lot of cards. I finally broke down and bought Yugi and Kaiba's starter decks, a Dark Crisis Booster pack, and a pack that had only 2 monsters in it: Warrior Dai Grepher (ATK 1700 DEF 1600) and Dark Paladin, a fusion monster of the Dark Magician and the Buster Blader (2900/2400). Paladin has a nice effect (I think anyway): As long as this card remains face-up on the field, you can negate the activation of 1 spell card and destroy the spell card by discarding 1 card from your hand. The ATK of this card increases by 500 points for each Dragon type monster on the field and in either player's graveyard.


Any thoughts? I think it's a nice card, if you can somehow get the DM and Buster Blader out at the same time. This card would be an excellent BEWD defense card.

Dark Paladin is one of the rare cards. Be glad you got that. :) It does have a great effect.

Dark Paladin is a nice monster, but good luck summoning it. I have tried to make a deck based on the card, but to no avail. I usually ended up spending my whole hand to summon him, just for him to get Mirror Forced, Torrential Tributed, etc.

Neto, I'm not sure about this, so I'm gonna ask you. I saw a Beckett Collector on Yugioh, so I flipped through it to the Magician's Force (set Dark Paladin is from). If I read it right (it has been a VERY LONG time since I've looked at a Beckett), DP is an Ultra Rare card in limited edition, and is worth like 25 bucks. The Beckett described it as the Dark Paladin with the ring in the back(ground). That's this card to a tee. Is there anyway to confirm it short of taking it to a card shop? Maybe if I get my scanner up and send a pic to ya, you could look at it for me and tell me if I got a super card for only 9 bucks at Walmart (don't bother, if they are any left, there won't be by the time you get there. They are all gone from the one here). In the bottom left corner, right under the picture, it says *Limited Edition*.

If anyone can answer this, it would probably make my day.

I can tell you right here and now, you got the real thing, and if it is Holographic, you got an Ultra Rare card. :)

9 bucks for a $25 Ultra Rare. Pretty good deal there. Don't think Wal Mart knows what it's doing with YuGiOh.......
