Robert, you are completely obsessed with Hip-Hop and R'n'B. Can't you get this through your head?! NOT EVERYONE AT SCHOOL LIKE YOUR KIND OF MUSIC!! But anyway, I hate hip-hop. The only decent rappers are D-12. Especially Eminem. I personally prefer heavy metal and punk. METAL RULES ALL! HIP-HOP RULES NOTHING!

true thay both have things in common....like some of them do(did) drugs, some went to jail, and others are dead. theres really no way of sayin which one is better cuz everyone has different opinions. not even with this poll could we.

I will admit that Hip-Hop actually has more meaning to it than rock. But I think rock just sounds a lot better.

I still thing rock is about the more serious things in life ( depressions, fetishes etc) ..most r&b and hiphop is all about love and pretty girls in mini-clothes....but thats my opinion ;)

If you seriously believe that, you are ignorant beyond all wildest thoughts. Maybe you should open that little mind of yours to something other that the mainstream hip-hop in MTV. There is so much more with other rappers. Yes, most of it is about big rims, *****es and hoes, and money, but not all of them rap that way. Nas, Tupac, Kayne West, Talib Kwali (Spelling), others rap about what they are feeling. They all do have songs about money and cars, but they do have great songs with great lyrics.

All music has been misunderstood in its time. Most of the early Renaissance Classical was thought to be sacreligious. Rock and Roll was thought to be the most horrible thing in history. Hip hop is no exception, with the worst of the crowd getting all of the publicity. Although, the content of half the songs does contribute to the misunderstanding. Eventually, something new will come out and be considered worse than hip hop, and all will be right with their fans. God, does that sound cynical.

for all thoes who think hip hop is crap you should all listen to Australian hip hop because it's brilliant! Go check out hilltop hoods - the nosebleed session (they are playing with Koolism and $2 scratchies at canberra on the 20th of August and 21st in Jindabyne if any one is in the area) or basically anything by hilltop hoods or the Certified wise crew :) hope someone got this!
