I got rid of Steam because it totally screwed up my Half-Life. Luckily my Counter-Strike was spared...I might just get the steam with CS 1.6 on it from PC Zone though...

Well, one thing is I couldn't play it whenever I didn't have my internet connected because Steam sort of "updated" it. I think it updated the Half-Life Engine or something. But anyways, that annoyed me. Then, sometimes when I clicked on the game and I wanted to play it, it either never loaded up at all or just took absolutly forever to load. I might just re-install Steam and disable that damn auto-download thing that probably caused the problem in the first place...

The auto-update feature is great, saves loads of time downloading in bulk everynow and then, these updates are also sometimes needed to play on servers. you just need to be patient. It hasnt screwed your install at all your just impatient :P

Hah! Fair enough man. I just didn't like how it downloading three things at once. I tried to stop the downloads but I didn't know how. It's quicker if you download one thing at a time. Well, I installed Steam again and if anyone wants add me then it's sum41rules777@hotmail.com
