i dont exactly remember, i think it has to do with the RAM hardware, and unkess you can mechanicalize a machine, i reccomend that you take the system to a sgop.

So far this thread has been some ultimate confusion. If actually want to intsall a new video card it is required that you purchase one and then open your PC and install it. If you are not a capable computer tech I would not suggest doing this. You can always take the computer to a nearby shop and they will be able to upgrade your video card for a price.

Video Cards also known as a graphics cards can be bought from almost all computer shops and it fits inside your computer as a piece of hardware. So just take you PC to a computer shop.

Basically a Video Card/Graphics Card determines what you see on your computer monitor. The better the quality of your video card, the better the quality of your visual display but a better card costs more money. Also it’s not worth buying a really good graphics card if you have a poor quality monitor that cannot handle high-resolution graphics and a slow PC with not much Ram.

So it all depends on how fast you PC is and how much money you are willing to spend but if you have a good PC then I would recommend that you get a good card, preferably one with a graphic accelerator for running fast screen rate games such as NFS and for also performing calculations like when working with graphic in for example Photoshop and multimedia programmes.

Could you tell me a little about you PC spec?
What OS are you running, Mine is XP pro
The Ram, Mine is 320Mb
The Pentium processor, Mine is a P3
Also the CPU speed, Mine is 300MHz (Yes a little slow)

Most of this you will find in system Information in tools on the start bar under Accessories. This might help in telling me if it’s worth you buying a really good Graphics card/Video Card or not. Had to do the same for my other computer that is at the moment a little dead. :(
