Halo 2 Set to Make History on November 9
Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios today announced that Halo 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the hugely successful and critically acclaimed Halo: Combat Evolved, will land on store shelves on November 9, 2004. In what promises to be one of the biggest launches in videogame history, Halo 2 will be the focus of an extensive marketing campaign that includes cinema, print, outdoor, online and television advertising.

Gamers should mark Halo 2's official launch date of November 9 on the calendar. To mark this occasion, Microsoft Game Studios will soon announce pre-order availability of a limited edition copy of Halo 2, packaged in a unique metal box. In addition to the game, the metal box will contain a second DVD loaded with special content. This exclusive two-disc set includes:

You thief! Lol. J/k. Anyways, yeah I heard about that limited edition thing. However, it doesn't appeal to me as I find those 'The Making Of' films boring...Reasons unknown. But for those in the UK, there's a chance to play Halo 2, 2 months before it's release in that ITV game event thing. I forgot what it was called, but it's on from September 5th - 7th. You can play lots of games before their release date. I also heard you can buy some of them...:eek: I might go just to play Halo 2...:P

Actually Halo 2 is a waste of money, it's the samge game with better graphics and online, i got Halo and xbox the day it came out and it was awesome for like 6 months, but now it's boring as hell.

wth u talking about man halo2 gonna kick ass lol warthog actually blow up now and the marine dudes will drive and the warthogs have different weapon on them now really kinda cheap since kills ghosts in 1-2 hits. and u can use air veichles in vs and thers bots and melee weapons.

you get a few new weapons.... you can use 2 weapons at a time (dual wield).... uhhm.... new monsters..... i havent got round to looking for info on multiplayer mode.

they got rid of the assualt rifle and now you have battle rifle. shoots 3 rounds then u pull the trigger again. holds 36 rounds at a time b4 u reload.

double smg - double needler - double plasma rifle. the best options of weaponry ever. you also supposedly get to be an alien, but i have no proof of that.....

i dont own Halo (an offense worthy of getting me kicked off the site) and i probably wont get Halo 2. i've never been big on FPS, the last one i played was Rid****, which was pretty good for a game based on a movie.ive played Halo, and it just didnt excite me that much.

maybe i'll get H1 when it finally drops to $20 new (3 years later!), and once i beat that, maybe i'll get H2.

No online co-op for Halo 2! An American Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed that there will be no Live co-op play in Halo 2. The mode has been heavily rumoured recently.

Xbox fans gagging for the shooter can rest safe in the fact that Halo 2 will include full clan support and the ability for up to four players to play online through one Xbox.

LAN play is also supported, for those with a penchant for hooking up multiple consoles.
Halo 2 is due to release on November 11 in Europe, two days after the American launch, and looks likely to sell faster than binoculars at a nudist beach on both sides of the Atlantic lol.
