If anyone knows when the Sims 2 is coming out or has any info on what type of things you can do on it. Such as 4 storey houses!

It is coming out on September 17th and I know you can do the following stuff on it as I have been to the official site:

In the Sims™ 2 you'll be able to customise your Sims' abode like never before. Create anything from a regular house to a commune or a retirement home to a bachelor pad!

Change the colour and pattern on any piece of furniture or wallpaper to your hearts content. Landscape your garden into a botanical masterpiece. You can even build houses with three storeys to easily accomodate up to 8 Sims.

Your Sims now have dreams and aspirations of their own and it’s up to you to help achieve them! Maybe they want to be famous, maybe they want to start a family, or maybe they dream of being astoundingly wealthy. Alternatively, if you’re feeling twisted you can indulge in their fears and ruin their lives!

Sims now have DNA! Newborns will look like you'd expect with a bit of each parent in their appearance and personality.

Your Sims will also grow up, have kids of their own and get old, with you in control of their lives the whole time. Life phases include baby, toddler, child, teen, adult and seniors. As your Sims age, they will collect a variety of memories over the course of their lives that shape who they are.

In The Sims 2, big life moments will have a lot more texture and detail compared to the original Sims. For example, when your Sim gets married or abducted by aliens there will be in-game cinematics and special effects that bring that event vividly to life and effectively emphasize the drama.

Just like in real life you’ll want to remember and record some of your favourite Sims moments. Well in The Sims 2 you can, and not just with screenshots either. While you can still take photos of your Sims and even hang them on the wall as paintings, what’s cooler is that you can create videos of your in-game happenings too!

I found it. This is the page where One sim looks for love, finds it and starts a family. This is what Black Snake said about the life cycle: baby,toddler etc.

when is sims 2 on the ps2 gonna be out in the uk?

Usually,games are released in the UK after the US gets them. But the Sims 2,on the PS2,Xbox,and Gamecube,will be the same as it's PC cousin. You can control your Sims asprirations,genetic patterns,and wants and fears! The graphics are close up,and more detailed facial animations. It'll be released November of 2005.

You can also download objects & skins for it, same as Sims1. There is a lot of Hacked objects out to download....they can like make you have all maxed needs forever, max skills, max money, make you have a child, and ect.

yes its completly different, you have much more scope in what you are able to do, sims2 is better still if ur into actually building houses, there are more archetectual features.
