Will the V8 pony car ever return as the sort of vehicle that sells in the tens of thousands, or will it be resigned to being just a niche product that the old and rich buy? :D

Well the 2005 Mustang is an all new car. The question is will this newcomer prove popular and push GM and Chrysler to revive the concept by bringing back the Camaro/Firebird etc.?

That's true, GM have tried to do that in a way with the latest GTO, but it has come off looking like an affordable BMW 6 series rather than a muscle car. :D They are going to have to inject some excitement into the models, maybe use some of the influence from the 70s cars.
