Yes, I will agree that St Anger wasn't their best, but I will say that, only a few of the songs on St Anger are good: The Unnamed Feeling, Shoot Me Again, Frantic, Dirty Window is okay, All Within My Hands kinda stinks, St Anger sucks, Invisible Kid I like, My World I like, Some Kind Of Monster stinks, and Purify kinda stinks. The rest are okay by my standards.

But I will also say that I think Black and before, are their best ever albums. Their best songs are in those albums (Master of Puppets song, Battery, Ride The Lightning song, and a bunch more). I lost their S&M cd one time, it used to be my fave, but then I got the other albums, listened to them, thought they were just simply awesome. I don't really listen to much else, maybe except some GodSmack (Whatever, Voodoo, Moon Baby, I Stand Alone, and Bad Religion are some good songs.)

Everyone should get the Metallica S&M album.

Metallica with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra..

'Evolutive, that's how I must describe Metallica's work since the Black Album. It was back then when this awesome group faced a difficult choice, go down as the best of the 80's or live on as the absolute best of the 90's. Sell-out, alternative, revolutionary, call them what you want I just call this band and this record as PERFECT. I don't think anybody else in the universe could have pulled this off as masterfully as Metallica did (of course, they had the best base material to start with). To hear these songs coupled with the magnificence and power of a Symphonic Orchestra was like meeting with old friends that you haven't seen in quite a while, just to discover that they are the same guys that you loved to hang out wiht, but at the same time you discover how they have changed for the better. This will go on the books as one of the best records of the decade, I absolutely reccomend it to any open minded Metallica fan! '

S&M album is good, once u explore all the other albums from Metallica and listen to S&M, some songs really really sound way better, like of wolf and man, but truthfully, gimme the raw Metallica sound that they play, like Kill em All stuff and Master of Puppets or Ride The Lightning, yes. Even Garage Inc. with pwnage songs.

Load and Reload were feckin genius, they built their own style with it, not only in music but also in appearance and album layout.

oh yeah, Deep Purple's Symphony and Orchestra was also very good ^^
