Rome total war Cheats

Does any one know who the cheats for this game are suposed to work? I bring down the console w (~) and when i try to type something it does not work, for example when i type " add_money 20000" it gives the this "err. does not reconize (use ? for help)" but even the ? does nothing. anybody know how to make it work?

yea it weird, i dont know if i am not typing them right or not, maybe im doing it correctly cuz ur having the same problem too. There must be some special way of typing it or something

For some strange reason it seems to work the first time I type something, but then get the same error therafter? Any ideas anyone?

You can only use the add money code one time per play. Meaning, when your playing, you can use it once. Then you would have to save, quit the game, and restart it again. And yeah, big deal...it's a trainer...wanna explain how to use it? lol

Please Help! I really want to get this invulnerable_general working but i cant seem to get it to work, could someone tell me how to do it properly or give me and example.

OK guy's let me see if i can help a bit here.
Most cheat codes only work once as you might know.
First an tip when a city or commander has more then one word like my name use type it like this "Marcus Antonius"
The 3 basic codes do work just be shure to use Higher and Lower case lettering where needed :
add_money 20000
add_population #### (#### any number from -4000 to 4000 wil work)
process_cq #### (#### City name)

Here are a few of the cheats that work if i find more i wil do an update but have to get to my work in a few minutes , using my name as a carracter name.

give_trait "Marcus Antonius" GoodFarmer ,GoodTaxman, Energetic, Xenophobia, GoodAdministrator, InspiringSpeaker, RhetoricSkill, PoeticSskill, StrategicSkill and TacticalSkill

Tip: You can do the trait skill cheat 3 times per reset.

Mike try ` instead (found in top left hand corner of keyboard), it brings down a second panel, type cheat in there hit enter and it should work

Start Rome : Total War
On the campaign map click ~ key
It should say Welcome to RomeShell:
>

type add_money 20000 (exactly as you see here). No "add_money 20000" or add_money <20000> or anything else.
If you do this your money should increase 20000 and you should see this
Welcome to RomeShell:
>add_money 20000
>

Next you can type add_population Arretium 4000 (exactly as you see here). No add_population "Arretium" "4000" or anything else.
If you do this your population in Arretium should increase by 4000 and you should see this
Welcome to RomeShell:
>add_money 20000
>add_population Arretium 4000
>

Next you can complete all the buildings in you build queue.
Type process_cq Arretium (again, exactly as you see here).
If you do this all your building projects should be immediately completed and you should see this

>add_money 20000
>add_population Arretium 4000
>process_cq Arretium
>

Now here's the catch. You can only do this once in a game. You cannot add population to your other cities like Ariminum unless you save your game and exit the program then restart the program and go throught the motions all over again for Ariminum or add more population and build new buildings in Arretium and so on. Every time you do this you must save the game and completely exit the program. If you try to add population to two cities in the same game you will see this

The population for Arretium will increase 4000 but nothing will happen in Ariminum unless you save and exit the game then reload and type add_population Ariminum 4000

It's a pain in the butt, I know. Sorry for the long winded post but some people seemed very confused about how this works.
Hope this helps anyone who was having trouble.
