Ruby. Because I love "red" games and when I first saw how wicked awesome the new graphics were (back when it came out), I was hooked. I can't stand the old ones. As for FireRed/LeafGreen, Kanto got a little boring for me, though I do like the Sevii Islands.

Ya... Kanto is borin da heck outta me... bought da game Sat, and already beat da Elite Four + 1 like 4 times... first Hall of Fame was recorded at 15:32:03 accordin to ma trainer card :P

The game that truly did create an impact on me was Yellow version. It just introduced me to everything. Although the graphics are horrible, and I didn't know pretty much what I was doing for a couple of weeks, I got everything out of it. I'd definitely go back and replay the series.

Aw, man, is this true. I mean, I got a Gameboy Color for like my 8th birthday, and I got Pokémon Red with it . . . man, was it hard. *shakes head* It was impossible.

Course, I managed to get all 150 on my Yellow game, bwahahahah . . . I liked Yellow better than Red (I never played Blue) and Crystal more than Gold and Silver. The Metal trio pokédex was too hard for me, though . . .

My fave is Pokemon Fire Red no questions asked. As for Red + Blue, i agree, they were tough and the graphics were horribe, but that didn't stop me beating the Elite Five (the champion makes the five) like 50+ times. I first did it in about a week. I also got all 151 pokemon. Mew was hard to get but i finally got it.

Ya, i finished Blue in bout a week and got all 151 pkmn also. I modded it and removed that chip and got it up to 160 pkmn tho. Still works to :P

This game was created with fresh ideas and the towns were the best out of any of the other games. It was created when Pokémon was at the peek of its popularity as well.

i love yellow not because it was easy its because you end up getting all three starter pokemon in blue and red and pikachu like the show stays out of the pokeball while you are carrying its pokeball

for why its my fave? if so no explanation needed or offered :) its my prerogative to choose a fave :P

However in the interest of a healthy debate, the reason has to be battle frontier, It's such a good amendment to the gaming series, It's about time Nintendo allowed you to actually use the pokemon you have spent months breeding/catching/hacking.

All we need now is the emerald cheat that will allow you to use Deoxys,Rayquaza Etc in battle frontier and ill be a happy little Bunyip

I hate bunyips, lol. Anyway, I got my Emerald Version today. All is good with it so far. I have 4 badges already and am going for my fifth. It ios quite good but Silver Version will always be the best in my mind......

I like the metally generation the best, though, I think I would say my favoritest single game is ruby or emerald, I still need to play sapphire.

and firered and leafgreen are really really boring til you get to the more advanced parts.

I would be playing the metal generation if they were trade compatible with the new versions, alas, darn nintendogamemakersetal making that impossible. and did they even shorten the link transfer time? nooooo, just made it more graphicypretty.

i may have done had i gotten into it then, but my debut was more or less crystal, i say more or less because i once owned a multi 100 in 1 cart lol, it actually was a 10 in one cart with 10 different names for each of the ten games " go figure" anyway, it had on it pokemon yellow, which i played from time to time, but not to the extent or depth i would later play with crystal.

i liked blue and red but yellow is better to me but since most liked firered in the poll i bought 1 on ebay and just waiting for the mail to give it to me even though i was thinking about getting ruby or emerald .counting the one in the mail i have 9 pokemon games and beat 5 and 2 of them i just have to beat the elite 4+1 :D

basically avoid all hong kong dealers, and if a UK source don't expect to pay under £36, if its buy it now 8.99 its fake and the chances are something won't work,

remember the 31pkmn motto

well whatever works for you, just make sure you check everything before you hand over ur paypal, some of the sellers are getting sneaky saying things like ntcs compatible, the dead giveaways are those whoch say box will be shipped flat pack to cut down on postage costs.

two pokemon i must admit i can't stand lugia ho-oh terribly overated, stats all in the wrong places too.
lugia i hate with an absolute vengance lol, so i wasn't too dismayed to find out you needed a ticket for it in Advance gen games.

Ha! There's something we don't agree on! I LOVE Lugia! Ho-oh.. I don't hate Ho-oh, he's in pretty good. I like Lugia more than Ho-oh because Lugia is HUGE and he looks kinda-like a dragon. Oh! Go to pokemonelite2000.com! It has cool pictures of Pokemon XD and Dark Lugia!

its hard to pick a fav game for me. each is in a different era. each was a new experience in a different land kanto/jonto/hoenn because every time i got one it was so exciting to progress in the series. but overall it would probably be Yellow. Because i loved the 3 starters charmander/bulbasaur/squirtle and then and still to this day my Fav pokemon is pikachu. and before yellow you couldnt get all 3 of them and i always wanted to so yellow was like a dream come true.
