okay, i have an action replay and use the cheats to encounter deoxys and guess what?! they dont work for some reason do you need to beat the elite4 or somethin? i really need help

You have to have beaten the Elite Four. This I know because I have an AR'd Lapras on my Sapphire, and it isn't in my Pokédex.

In Ruby and Sapphire, you have to have the appropriate codes. If you have the codes for the Mystic Ticket and Birth Island, you're in the wrong game.

Of course, I could be completely wrong.

But, of course, it's all in vain. Deoxys won't obey you if caught in the wild. You have to get it on Birth Island in FireRed or LeafGreen. Sorry, dude.

you have to trade it to someone and then trade it back to get it in your pokedex, also look in the computer and you will find in the box currently in use

Ok... how can i get the AR'd pkmn anyway?? like where can I find them at... i have a few codes that were on ma AR when i bought it, actavated a couple, and never ran into them in da wild... so where am i suppossed to find them at?

!!! IMPORTANT !!!

ONLY activate ONE "encounter Pokémon" code at a time. They will now work in ANY plot of grass, cave, or surfing (but NOT fishing). For all of the AR codes, go to Codejunkies, the Action Replay website.

I have found out that the codes entitled "Pokemon *Ruby/Sapp*-New Pk" dont work... unfortuantly, you will have to either catch those pokemon, or use the code for those ones on FR/LG and trade trhem over.

Yeah, I think that's true. But you could always use the Lavaridge Egg code. Actually, I think that's the only way.

Also, you may want to definitely turn off your AR before saving your game. If not, the code will stay active and all the Pokémon you encounter from then on will be the Pokémon that you hacked.

Nah, they aint... i've saved it plenty o times with encounter codes on, and it doesnt affect ma game at all

I've seen it happen to some people, it happened to me once (luckily, I know my ways around coding). I suppose the new AR doesn't cause this problem.
