Pokemon nicknames

I found a thread in the archives of another forum with a ton of nicknames, making me want to give some to my Pokémon. (I usually don't.) Now I'm happy and am constantly thinking up new nicknames ^^

Currently:
Combusken: Ares (Greek god of war)
Jolteon: Zeus (Greek highest god, used thunderbolts)
Alakazam: Sagitarius
Breloom: Muushi
Geodude: Ge-Oh-Dude (parody of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but I couldn't fit the !)
Lapras: Carina (got this one from that thread)

My favorite one from the other thread:
Ditto: Xerox (just so perfect)

So, yeah. What do you all have? ^^;;

Personally, I don't nickname my Pokémon. I don't know why. Perhaps because in Stadium and Colosseum, it would slightly change the colors of the Pokémon.

Mr. Mime: Mrs. Mime -or- MimeTime

It's for people who rather be original. Always calling your Celebi or Mew by their respective names is kind of dull. Besides, as I stated above, it does alter the colors of your Pokémon a bit in Pokémon Stadium. I'm not sure about Colosseum, though.

I just started diamond and only have 4 badges, so I don't have a team set of names to post here, but I use the japanese name and nickname my pokemon that, right now I have
luxray= rentoraa
infernape= goukazaru
blissey= happinasu
graveler= gouron
lopunny= mimiroppu

japanese names are more interesting than the american ones even though, to me, they don't mean anything(some are kinda gay, like bidoof) (mimiroppu doesn't invoke the image of a bunny, but is more interesting than lopunny)

Technically he should start a new thread, but if he doesn't, what can you do, lol. The whole 'don't reply to old threads' thing is not an enforced rule if I recall. It's more of a recommendation! Ha, I actually remember this thread... Good times, lol!

this makes me notice how much they screwed up and ruined some of the translations, and that the battle cries of alot of pokemon sound like their japanese names, just like in the enime where the cute little ones say their names, perappu sounds better than chatot too because chatot implies it's a baby pokemon and might evolve into some larger thing that would look like toucan sam or something lol

Just go ahead and leave it revived, lol. I liked this thread. I'm starting to suck with nicknames though. Although, I'm nicknaming my Eeveelutions after their type, somewhat. Or I may just take their Japanese name or whatever. (I would LOVE it if I could put their types in Japanese. That would make my day.)

went to my aunts for christmas and her apartment gets wifi so I finally hooked up to the gts, 2 more pokes to go for nat dex, someone had a lvl 75 graveler up for graveler any lvl so I traded mine lvl 26 for it
pokes trained up to decent lvl for my team(some are in now but I rotate)

the ... means I didn't name them, don't like the names, and I'm frustrated I can't change it because the owner didn't nickname them so I wouldn't be changing a nickname, I would be giving them their first nickname(gaspar is an ingame trade ghastly, someone was probly in a hurry to trade because I wanted a gengar bad and offered female combee holding armor fossil, which I also did for the starters because theyr're so freekin hard to find unless you happen to have a spare palkia or something...)

only 6 on the team at a time depends on what I need,bibarel and marill are hm slaves for everything that isn't on noctowl (fly defog)
