Yeah I didn't read those so don't yell at me but is it really true that Valve released the pirated copy themselves to catch these people? I have seen people still ask for it all over the Internet... idiots.

Considering its Valve were talking about here; the same one that messed up oh so many times in the proccess of creating and distributing Half-Life 2, i'm suprised they actually thought of that. It's smart but there are ways to get around it and download secure files illegally.

yes, but the vadilation wont be because you CANT register the game online,[ and you need to in order to play the game], unless you have a valid serial code, and the code cant have been validated before.

I bet someone smart will come out with a patch. I won't use it though because it's still illegal.

Woah WOah WOAH, If its been Validated Before you cant validate it again? What if someone loses their PC and needs to install It Over again? Buy a New one? >_<

I recently read that if you have correct username/password and serial matching then you may be able to play, but you cant play the game at the same time on different PC's.. or something like that, there is a way, tis complicated. You can check it on the FAQ on steams site.
