On Yellow, can you evolve Pikachu... (I know the REAL answer)
-_-AND-_-
What Pokemon (List about 10, and dont say Pikachu, Raichu - since they are basically the same pokemon) have the Arena Trap Abilities?
x-dark-latias-x
11-30-2004, 06:40 PM
you cant on the yellow game but there is a way trade pikachu to pokemon stadium and complete a certain amount of the stadium challenge or the gym leader challenge then you are able to teach pikachu surf (note:pikachu must be in the champinship party)
i only know of 2/3 pokemon who know the arena trap abilities diglett/dugtrio and trapinch

Actually, you must use Pikachu in every battle, or include him at least in the party that you use for every battle.
Also, Pikachu can evolve in Yellow. Only the Pikachu given to you by Professor Oak cannot, or will not evolve.

I've never heard anything about this. It would be great if you could elaborate, even if it is false ^^;
Edit: As for my question ...
Which pokémon can be found in Viridian Forest?
Pidgey
Caterpie
Metapod
Butterfree
Pidgeotto
Pikachu
Weedle
Kakuna
Beedrill
Rattata
Nidoran (both genders)
Check 'em off. The credit on this question goes to http://www.dragonflycave.com/butterfree/yellowquiz.asp and it's on here because I simply can't figure it out, lol

Which Pokémon can be found in Viridian Forest?
Pidgey - Yes
Caterpie - Yes
Metapod - Yes
Butterfree - No
Pidgeotto - Yes
Pikachu - No
Weedle - No
Kakuna - No
Beedrill - No
Rattata - No
Nidoran (both genders) - No
Considering that the title of the quiz includes "yellow," I am guessing it is a quiz for the Yellow version. These should be the correct answers.

Oh, yeah, it is. Sorry for not mentioning that.
Also on Yellow (though the content points to it):
What affects Pikachu's happiness?
Depositing Pikachu
Making it faint
Healing it at a Pokémon center
Using healing items on it
Feeding it vitamins
Walking with it
Battling
Making Pikachu gain levels
Catching pokémon
Recording it in the Hall of Fame
This is the only other question on the quiz I can't figure out ^^;; Same quiz as linked above. Check 'em off.

I tried it myself, and all of those I'm sure apply. What I question myself is if they're asking what aids Pikachu's happiness, depletes it, or just affects it overall?
What affects Pikachu's happiness?
Depositing Pikachu - Pikachu obviously dislikes the box, since it gives off an awry cry when you deposit it.
Making it faint - Pikachu will most definitely dislike you if you lose with it too often.
Healing it at a Pokémon center - If it has fainted, this will most likely make it feel a little better.
Using healing items on it - If it's poisoned, paralyzed, or badly damaged, it should appreciate it.
Feeding it vitamins - Obvious now.
Walking with it - Spending time with it. I suppose this would mean keeping it in your party.
Battling - Obvious.
Making Pikachu gain levels - If it battles, it will gain levels. If it wins, it will like you even more.
Catching pokémon - Doesn't it give you the peace sign everytime you catch a new Pokémon? I'd say it affects it.
Recording it in the Hall of Fame - I'm not quite sure about this one. In the third generation, they receive ribbons. I suppose it would affect it in some way.
Like I said, I'm not quite sure what this question is asking. I tried checking them all, and that was wrong, too. Hmm...

How do you view a Pok'emon's shining form without the use of a shining Ditto?
Answer precisely.
If I use Thunder on a Magcargo using a Lugia and it gets a critical hit, what is the damage multiplier?
If I use Bone Club on a Slugma with a Marowak holding a Stick, what is the damage multiplier?
What is the difference in affect for Dizzy Punch in Gold/ Silver and Blue/Red?

You save the game and then deposit the Pok'emon that you want to clone into your PC, then change the box. When it says SAVING.... DON'T TURN OFF THE POWER, quickly switch off your GBA or Gameboy Colour. Now go to your PC. That Pok'emon will be in both your Party and your PC.

what is the maximum amount of hit points a sacred ash can restore? and i need a number people ;)
lol and please show ur workings
xx:)
HRBEK
07-29-2005, 10:43 AM
Lol, that's simple.
Party of 6 Blisseys.
Blissey's maximum HP amount is 714.
To use a Sacred Ash, at least 1HP must be remaining for one of the Blisseys.
So: (6X714)-714= Maximum Amount Of HP Possibly Restored By Sacred Ash.
(6X714)= 4, 284
4, 284-714= 3, 570
The maximum amout of HP, possibly restored by a Sacred Ash is 3, 470.
Thanks,
HRBEK.

no obviously lol, what i meant was will sacred ash restore the HP of a non fainted pokemon? even if it has just 1hp remaining
otherwise it would be 5x blissey @714
rather than 5 blissey's and 713 points.

He did the math right, because you first multiply everything within the parenthesis, and do the rest later. So you must multiply 714 × 6, and then subtract 1 for that one Blissey that needs to remain conscious. The answer would be 4,283, so HRBEK would be correct.
Oh, wait. Uhm, yeah, as long as one of your Pokémon is fainted, the rest of your party will be healed accordingly.

the maths wasn't in question, my query was purely if sacred ash would restore the HP of a pokemon who hadn't fainted.
other wise the answer would of been 5x 714
