I thought it might sort of be set in all three cities. Like, you can fly to Liberty using a jet, or Vice City or San Andreas...You can fly to Liberty in San Andreas but you can't actually walk around in Liberty. What I think would be cool would be if you can fly to each, except set in the present day so there'd be some changes and stuff...I dunno. But it'd be cool to se a GTA in Tokyo but I can't really imagine there being a GTA set in Tokyo...

The next GTA is gunna be out on the PS3 and if Sony go ahead and use these different CD disk's that I read about a while ago then the lense will be diffrent from whats used in the current in PS2 and the end results is that more data will be stored on a single disk and put with the new Graphics Chip in the PS3 which I think is called the Gube then games are gunna look totaly different and Liquid Snakes idea is the VERY possible outcome for the next GTA.

Anyway. I still think Liquid Snakes idea is more lilkly to happen... but if they did that they would have to come up with new lands and stuff for the next one after and the one after that.... Rockstar are not gunna kill GTA just like M$ are never gunna kill Halo coz it makes em loads of money.

this seems the most plausible idea, because:

1. The GTA: London 1969 expansion pack for the original. It would be great if the next GTA was sent in London in 1969. Plenty of Austin Powers allusions :).

2. England is a smaller country, in relation to, say, America. With the technology that the PS3 will use, it is very possible that the next game could encompass all of England (or whatever pseudonym they choose to use for jolly ol' England).

3. Soooo many easy jokes at the expense of British stereotypes (I know it's not fair to the English, but we Americans do love making fun of other people ever so much). Would include learning to understand ****ney slang and the such.

Oh, and for the record: SA is considered the end of a "Trilogy" in the GTA series. Besides pointing to the likelihood of them waiting til the next-gen consoles, this alludes to the fact that the next game will have nothing to do with GTAs 3, VC, or SA. This also may incline that they would try to avoid London, but I will ignore that fact.

The only downside to it being in London would that people would be mad that it's sharing the location with the Getaway series. Not cool to rip off other series' ideas (although VC was really just Scarface in game form. Whatever happened to the Scarface game?) but there you go.

Whoooo...now to go ride the BMX around SA for 3 ours....

EDIT- If it is in London, I'd like to see Rockstar have some sort of "driving on the right side of the road" thing. For the most part, they could just flip the map, but some things (mostly textures) would have to be tinkered with, so as not to just make a mirror world instead of switching the side of the street. Prob wont happen, though.

yeah, thats true. what i think they mean is, "what will the psuedo-city in the next GTA be based on?"

i.e., London would be named some random conglomeration of English cities. Aberdon, Walechester, etc. But hopefully better than those lol. [note: not sure if Aberdeen is England, sorry about that]

technically, The Getaway stole GTA's idea from the London 1969 Expansion Pack for the original GTA. Although, I gotta say, i nearly pissed myself when i heard "who's your father?" in the Getaway:BM commercial. it doesnt sound right lol...i need to pick up the first one.

That's quite a good point actually. Yeah, I've played that expansion pack. It wasn't really anything that new though. Just different cars and stuff.

i wouldnt like to see it in London for the main fact that most games are based on these places, like midtown madness, it had london and san francisco, even though that san fierro is based on san francisco, id like to see tokyo, for the main reason the cars would be much cooler, even though it probly wont happen, id also like to see some real high end cars, but that probly wont happen either, seeing as they need to get rights and stuff, but anyway, ya tokyo would be cool, theyre gonna have to do something amazing to upstage san andreas, i think natural disasters would be cool, driving around and then get nailed by a tornado or tidal wave or something like that, it would make the game more difficult for sure
