Buy the DS!

okay 5 reasons to buy the DS
1.price is $150. psp's is $300
2.touch screen. sony has never thought of that.
3.DS exclusive games. not available anywere else.
4.touching is good. best motto ever
5.pictochat. lets you talk to people within 65 feet if they have a DS

you like using the word demented a lot, I bet ya don't even know the correct english term/meaning of the word. Reasons for not buying the DS or the PSP.

1. The DS is not out here in the UK yet
2. The DS screen is to say a little dead with the pixels problem
3. The PSP is a mini version of the PS2 and not out yet in the US or UK only in Japan i think.
4. There just hand held things that will never be better than the home console of the X-box or PS2 or even GameCube.

DS - Touchscreen and good graphics on games.

A touchscreen is cool, but not exactly a revolutionary concept for a hand-held. Whereas MP3s + DVDs on one is. I'm not gonna get either because I simply don't have the cash supply for these things...

lol I have nuthin against Nintendo as a company... they have done very very well and have been involved in gaming for a very very long time but it's what they have produced as of late that brings them down a little but if your into handheld things then the DS is a good buy along with the DS.... the new Gizmondo or what ever it's called by Microsoft is gunna kill em both in one blow tho.... ha ha if your lucky I'll make a thread on it when my mole worker has more info for me.

Ah yes, MGS3. I was beginning to forget about that game. Man, I don't even know when it's out. I think it's something like spring 2005 over here. But I'm definetly getting MGS3...

@Lightning, I got nothing against Nintendo. Hell, Nintendo are ancient, they've made some classic games! I still play on my SNES sometimes. Some awesome games on that..I'm just saying that the DS doesn't really have many new things. I mean a touchscreen. Yeah, it's a nice addition for a hand held, but will it really, and I mean like majorly, affect gameplay if you've got a little touchscreen near your controls? I doubt it. The only really new thing the DS has to boast is a touchscreen really. Whereas the PSP has more additions...

oh yea got me some info... in Japan the DS is selling well but the PSP is being sold in some places for about £100 in UK money... no idea what that is in $, Jap money or euros yet but that is darn cheap if it's true. :eek:

well the ds in australia is only $200 which is like $120 amercan and hu no' s wat it is in uk. and the psp may hav kwl features but...ps2 graphics arent really an advancement and if u want a mp3 player on a game handheld, go get a freakin ipod or MP3!!!!!anyways i try to go 4 good quality instead of take it to maybe get some money(ps2) compared to "get good games so we dont look like cheapskates(xbox). the gizmondo from microsoft is gonna cost a bit like $400-$700 aussie dollars. im also gonna get the handheld so tat wen the xbox gets outa date i hav my lovely DS.

but if u like handhelds then...umm...yeh! wat bout soem of the games comin out they hav the quality of a gc just not as good all in ur hand and wat MP hunters, that looks awesome. i tried out a ds and i played mario 64ds and the graphics were great, so my arguement is that if u like handhelds get a ds and for $200 aussie i think thats great

actually liqued they are making a cartridge that you can buy for the ds so that you can download mp3's and movies onto your ds its a cartridge you plug into you ds that takes a card ( dam forgot what the card was called its the same card for a digital camara takes to hold memery card) any way and then you can downlaod mp3's and videos and watch and listen to them on your ds

and there are problems with the psp like the ****og stick is to small and skinny so it brakes off easily the bottuns and hard to push and close to together so you have mash the bottuns down to work and the psp doesnt have the 100 foot wire less lan like the ds or picto chat and its 150 the psp is like 250, touch screen so basicly i say screw the psp and go with the ds only thing really better on the psp in the screen is a little bigger and the graphics are a tiny bit better but the ds has two screens and more so yea ds ownz the psp

and sorry bout the double post really am but it was a quote so it had to be a seperate post

O yea and this dead pixel crap ive had my ds for 4 months and i havnt had any dead pixels yet ...

maybe yall should take better care of your ds's then hhmmmm?

Anyway,from what I know,there is no voice activation. And just because you have had your DS for 4 months,Fear,it doesn't mean it won't get dead pixels. I've had mine for 5 months and I haven't got dead pixels. And I take bad care of my stuff. It's not about what you do with the thing.

if ur in australia then read the green guide for 25feb-4mar and theres a whole article bout the hunt for gaming and stuff on the psp and the ds.
wario touched uses the voice activation to its advantage to blow into the mic to make balloons float and stuff. pretty neat i say and if u hav ps2 dont bother with the psp just get the ipod shuffle and stick with ur dvd player and the ds will hav an attachment for that stuff so i say no way playstation portable

its the mic. go to ign.com and theres a review bout the ds and it says that there is a voice activation and its needed for games like warioware touched
