Hello Everyone, :)
I am new here, but I got a whopper of a question.
What effects to the "Sway Bars" , "Springs" ,and "Shocks" have on the cars handling? I am trying to figure it out the hard way, but not having a lot of luck.
Also, can anyone show me a pic or a link to a pic of what a "good" Dyno result should look like? I know that by making the curves into smooth arcs, helps, but not sure if should be that way. Should I be aiming for the highest Power ratings, or quickest times in 0-60 and 0-100?
Sorry if it seems like rambling, but I love this darn game... :)

Ok I don't have the game yet but I do know about car settings and stuff with an Arcade game.
Anyway I'll try and answer each as best as I can:
1. the "Sway Bars" is just the another name for the role bars I guess. Strenghten these up and the car's role effect through the corner should be less but the car might not drift as easy. I would leave this at a center setting if possible or middle.
2."Springs" don't have much effect in NFS UG2 I don't think, When people mod a car up they do the springs and they does this because, if ya lower the settings the car will sit lower to the ground. The cars in NFS UG2 should handle better like this but make sure the under side of the car is not making sparks on the road to much, otherwise you could lose speed.
3. "Shocks" hmmm increasing these will make the car bounce less, I would leave these at a middle setting if possible.
4. I don't have a dyno link for ya but I do know that the best result for the Dyno has to be curve smooth arcs like you said and the higher up the graph it goes the better.
5. Should I be aiming for the highest Power ratings, or quickest times in 0-60 and 0-100? <<<< that is totaly up 2 you mate, personaly I would go for a bit of both.
See I might no have the game but I think some of my techo info might have just helped there. :D

ok, i have the game and am also a mechanic, lowering your car will improve handling all around, you dont want to lower it too low like nitrous said as it may slow you down while dragging on the ground, if you lower your car to the point where it doesnt drag you should strengthen your sway bars so that the car wont roll and drag on one side at all but you dont want it to be too stiff so id go around just under a quarter more than the default, for your shocks youre definately gonna wanna tighten them, when your car is lower to the ground it is better for your shock to have less travel than when your car is higher of the ground, this will also improve handling with a lowered car, but be careful again not to put it too low and have tight shocks, tighten them just a little from the default should be fine, about the power or acceleration, usually power is given when having a quick 0-60 time, so go with the fastest 0-60 time trying not to jeopardize your top speed, ive noticed that if you modify the parts one notch at a time it actually gains you both top speed and acceleration rather than taking away from one, it takes time to modify this though in the game, atleast your able to go back to the default any time you wish :D

Ok, After completing the game on hard all the way in the Miata (MX5), I decided to really play with tuning, and have managed to tweak car big time :rolledeye , anyways, with suspension, I found this setup had the best handling i could muster, taking corners quicker than any other way I've tried so far.
I lowered car to lowest, front and rear, I then softened suspension and shocks, front and rear to Softest settings, I then Hardened Sway Bars to maximum hardness, I then set steering ratio to Maximum, (1.50  in the corolla).
Oh, and ps, don't rely on the DYNO results, cus I found the quickest I can get the cars so far, shows me as being slow as all shat on the DYNO ;)
I can give good ecu/turbo/transmission tips too :P

Ok, jus 1 day later and I'm driving with sway bars full softness now  , same for suspension and shocks and ride height., I jus have steering ratio maxed.
Seems to be the best cornering this way with lev 3 parts on the corolla, jus very sensitive :D
