Recruiting Gangs

Hey um anyone know how to recruit gangs , i went to my house where u start the game went up to some gang ppl and aimed at them then pressed up (unarmed of course) but all they ended up doin was attacking me, my respect meter is just at half but wat am i dong wrong?

Edit: you do know you can only recrute gang members that are dressed in green lol (your own gang)

Lmao, that may be whats going wrong. But i have read about multiple problems in their games because people used cheats or a gameshark.

Have you used any cheats?

i bought a green hoody now a cant find any of my gang, but i read somewhere (im in las venturas now, just after buying the airstrip) tht after the barlands the gang colours dont appear on ur map anymore so what can i do where do i find the green hoody people

tis ok ive got it turns out u get the whole gang thing after the mission "Home coming" where u kill all the dealers and other gangs in ur street thanks anyways everyone
