"Star..mieeeee". That was the cry of Cerulean's Gym Leader Misty's last pokemon, Starmie, as it fainted from a Mega Punch from Charmeleon. "Here, take this, its the Cascade badge to show you beat me," explained Misty. I left and set out for Vermillion City. Unfortunately, Gary showed up and once again challenged me thinking he could win. He sent out Ivysaur. I let Charmeleon out of his Pokeball and gave the Flamethrower signal. It scorhed Ivysaur. Gary ran off before Charmeleon started to scorch him again with
Flamethrower attacks.
After a walk through the Underground Path I saw a big city in the distance. "Vermiilion, " I thought to myself. I ran as fast as I could to get to the Gym in the next city. When I arrived I checked my Pokemon, Charmeleon was fine, Growlithe was fine and Ponyta was fine. I was set for the battle against the Vermiilion City Gym Leader. I entered the Gym and challenged Lt. Surge, the gym leader. After about 5 minutes, I had completely wiped the floor with Lt. Surge's Pokemon. He gave me the third badge and I set out for the next city on my journey, Celadon City.
I walked past Diglett's Cave and passed through a giant field full of trainers. After reaching Lavender I saw Celadon in the distance, but I needed to rest my Pokemon first. After doing so, I entered Pokemon Tower to pay my respect to the dead, and then set out for Celadon. I crossed a giant field and passed through the 2nd Underground tunnel of the day before I actually arrived in Celadon. I bought a Fire Stone from Celadon Dept. Store and used it on Growlithe. He evolved into a gleaming Arcanine.
I entered the Celadon Gym and challenged the gym leader there. "I am Erika, leader of the Celadon City Gym. Be prepared to be beaten by the power of my Grass Pokemon." "Vileplume, go," Erika said as she threw the Pokeball into the air. "Arcanine, demolish that Vileplume!" I shouted. Two beams of red light let the pokemon out. "Arcanine, Flamethrower, Now" I told Arcanine. Bursts of flames shot from Arcanine's mouth and Vileplume fell to the floor. The same thing happened for Erika's Gloom, Venusaur and her Butterfree. Erika gave me the badge to show I had beat her and I exited the Gym. I thought to myself, "where should I go next, Saffron or Fuschia?" I decided to set out for Saffron where I was going to get my 5th badge on my Pokemon Adventure...
