I was watching the news the other day,(well, not really watching.... but close enough...) and they said XBOXes are fire hazards. They said the cord could cath on fire or something..... They also said that they bought 3 separate XBOXes and they all caught on fire. They said that you could get a new cord for free off the internet somewhere. They also said to help prevent this, don't leave your XBOX on when you aren't playing it.

Yeah, but this only applies to cords and X-Boxs made before January 13th 2004...

It is the same with Most Systems, They Over Heat, Except Ps2, with its Built In Double Cooling fan, And its Sleep mode. :P

my last ps2 exploded =/ becasue (apparently) of overheating

hmmm. I've never heard of XBOXes' cords lighting OR PS2s blowing up. I guess it's a very good thing that they fixed the XBOX thing though...

yeah i've never heard of this either... i guess it's just something to look out for. i dont play much nintendo these days, but hopfully over summer vacation, when i have a job, i'll be able to get some games. that's when i'll really need to watch how much i play.

Er, maybe they just overheat if it's in a fairly hot area, or in the sun for too long, perhaps? Mine's fine, but hey it's Canada :P

Wow. X-boxes with cords on fire. And Anubis's hugging a 'T'. Wow. I wonder if thats happened to my cousin. If it has,he better learn to stop leaving his X-box on. But i'll be careful...when I get my own X-box. *sob sob*
