Heh, you've been having too many RS lessons Robert...:P But still, I'm not sure. The Matrix was pretty much entirely based on this theory. If it was true, that'd be kinda...disturbing...Well, it would for me. Knowing the control I thought I had was virtual...In a way.

Well, what it is is that Plato said that the Universe is just like a fire in a cave. The human race, however, was born looking at the shadow of the fire, and could not look at the fire itself. So, the human race had been looking at it for so long, they figured that was reality, when really the fire was...I know what it is, I just can't really explain it very well. But...Yeah, that's it. The Matrix is just like it because in the film, the human race is actually born in The Matrix, so we figure that that's reality. When actually, it's not...

If there is peopple tied so they can only see one side of a cave and theres a causeway behind them with puppeteers then theres a fire on the other side so all the people can see is the shadows. Then if one broke free he would see that the world he thought to be real is not. so you see what i mean theres more detail but i can't be bothered to write it :D

But when the guy came back from seeing the wonders outside because he thought everyone else would like to know of it. They killed him.
