Australia are waiting for the PAL versions of the PSP just like us peeps in the UK... it sucks coz it's lookin very likly that we wont see the PSP until christmas 2005! Launch date has been delayed big time at the moment... for some reason.

Edit: I won't buy one but still wouldn't mind having a little look at one of em.

I want the PSP! And I live in the US. Can't get one yet though. I'm waiting till June. My birthday. I'm gonna get it then. Before my party starts. I wanna see if it has dead pixels first.

as i ve sed in most of these threads, there has to be a major downfall, something very obvious i reckon like battery power will be bad/ is bad

Battery power has been bad since the first handheld. We know that. I just don't want dead pixels. Besides,the PSP comes with a charger.

so does the DS but the battery power can be around 7 hours of gameplay...with the sound on!

why does it come out in america first is it because japan like them better than us...they cant say its easier shipment uk is closer....i think....

PAL and NTSC are just different video formats used in diferent parts of the world. NTSC version of psp are already available which is why the US has them as well as Japan. PAL version isnt available yet which is why Australia and UK and wales and ireland havnt recieved the PSP yet.

i went out yesterday to look at em, they look pretty cool, but i sure as hell aint gonna spend $349 canadian for it with that $hitty selection of games, the only one that came close to intesting me was nfs rivals, and even then i wasnt sure about it, ill probly get one when it comes out with better games though, seeing as the newest handheld i got it gameboy color, and i never play it anymore, ive got almost all the old handhelds, gameboy original, gamegear (which kicks a$$ when it cam out, colour!!!), gameboy color, really should update my handhelds, lol

I played one in GAME the other day.
I played wipeout pure and it fu(k!ng rocks!!!!!

In the US,it's $400.00 with 2 games. Well,that's how much it was for me. The actual price is $399.99,I think. I'd have to check...

I'm actualy a little lucky round our area there is a new small ish game shop thats just opened that deals with Imort PAL stuff from France, Spain ect. The PSP I have to admit does look rather good. Still not enought to make me want one tho.

very good point , that does bring it into perspective, ive got one dead pixel on mine to the bottomish right hand side, its not really a problem unless ona totally black background so im happy :)

this is a canadian psp, i heard the UK psp's have had more dead pixel problems, is this true?

well i think its brilliant as a concept, but im having troubles with mine, although to be fair with it this may be a fault in the memory card, i shall post more once i have given it a test.
