For those of you who know what that is, do you believe in it? For those of you who don't, it's basically a theory that in the bible it predicts the future and major events that will happen. If you have the bible and you skip every 50 words, then those words will spell out the major even. Or if you do another pattern. Things like that huge bombing, the earth quakes, the pope getting assasinated, have all been predicted. what do you think??

Darn, too bad you didn't type up a "be" in there. Uh, I'll add it anyways.

As Neto tried to say; :P
Its bull**** and totally random. :D

04-04-2005, 11:57 PM
yeah that is what i thought, because you could make up n e thing by gettin a big book and finding random words, but then the thing is that there is a pattern... i dont know, if i saw it myself, i think i would believe it.

There isnt much of a pattern.. I saw a TV show based on it and it had people saying the pro's/con's, and there isnt really any pattern to it..

oh. i saw a little thing about it on unsolved mysteries. they didn't talk about it much, all they really said was that they skipped every 50 words and they have hi-tech computer that find patters and find the words blah blah blah... i think that this is just one of those things where people want it to be true, so they just believe it.

Uh. Why would anyone have hidden messages in the bible? It is already complicated enough.

Their also called skip codes...but if any large document is fed into a computer programmed to look for patterns some are bound to develop

lol, I am Catholic, though in a few years i`m pretty sure i wont be. I Dont believe many things. I`ll end up haveing no religion. searching for the truth. I`ll probably find my own religion i like.
But anyways, The Bible could be true, or not.
But imagine Millions of people Living Their Lives in the Search of Jesus and god, and to end up With the answer, There is No God, Never was a Jesus, and it was all just a story gone too far. Upsetting. But thats life.

wasnt the bible basicly just a book with heaps of stories in it to kind of tell what powers 'god' has but in different people?

^ not religous are you?? lol well im not either. i'm not talkin about the bible but something IN the bible, like a hidden message...

While learning World History, I was told that the bible was constructed from different books called the Tora(h?) and some other holy book in India or the Mohgul empire or something like that.
After being told the bible was rewritten over and over again, I'm actually pretty doubtful if half the stuff in there is even true (who knows what people would add in). If the little 'codes' are in there, it could be possible that the people reprinting could have switched around a few things.
I've switched from Christianity to Catholicism... Now that I've got to the bible, I was pretty doubtful about the ceremonies too...
People might just have a lot of time on their hands.

yeah i know what your saying. i personally dont get life (who does?) but it seems like with religion, it's what people want to believe in, other then what they think is true/real. i'm not being religous so yeah. i think that it was just made up.... but you never know. Basically what i'm trying to say is that there is suppose to be people who lived her before us, then wrote the bible and made it as a code so that we could know what to do so that these terrible things wouldn't happen. and it isn't so much as predicting the future, as a warning, and people always say, why do they only talk about the bad stuff? it's becasue they care about us enough to help us. lol quoted that from unsolved mysteries.

YES! The Torah is the Bible, The Bible is Books (Cant remember how many, will check later) Put together from Jesus' Life and Stories he told. It is also the basis of Many religions. The bible has been Deciphered in many languages and many ways. I havent seen an exact way to the old Language Jesus Spoke, so i dont know if its true.
10 years of Religion Class in a Catholic school. :P
The Bible doesnt say terrible things will happen, nor does it state everyone will die. It says that Judgment will come where all men Will be accepted into Heaven or Hell.
The Bible is confusing. Ive read most of it and dont get it...

That my friend, Is based on Human belief. :)
What i believe is that There is Hevean and Hell. Yet there is reincarnation. we spend our lives on earth, once we die we spend another life in heaven, than we are reincarnated, and the cycle continues.
Of course we do not remember any of it. Its like the belief of Past lives, i guess.
-Gold-
04-07-2005, 03:19 AM
i would believe that. i guess sometimes the thought of living to die is just over-whelming. i mean lets say i go to school until i'm 18 and i try my hardest to get the best possible job, then i get drafted. just doesn't seem right.

Honestly, what would the point of reincarnation be if you don't remember a single thing? It'd be as if you never existed in the first place.
-Gold-
04-07-2005, 03:40 AM
exactly. unless it's all spiritual. but i must say, we will probably never know, until our time comes. and you got to also wonder, if you just die... you dont do n e thing, your just dead.

Yes, Gold. I think many who have thought about this and fear it, just like I do. But then I think back to when I was born. I don't fear that, so it helps me not be scared of death.

eto']Honestly, what would the point of reincarnation be if you don't remember a single thing? It'd be as if you never existed in the first place.
well apparently we only use 10% of our minds... maybe these memories of past lives are in the other 90%
^ not religous are you?? lol well im not either. i'm not talkin about the bible but something IN the bible, like a hidden message...
yeah, im not religous anymore.. i was but.. im not sure what happened.. just stopped believing in it all really... not that i didnt try to believe in it still but i couldnt.. saw no reason in it [o.o]
The Bible is confusing. Ive read most of it and dont get it... after watching family guy when stuie started to read the bible or hear about it or something kind of made me want to see what it was all about :P

yeah, i never thought about that, 10% of our mind thing. and if that isn't it, then i bet that there is alot to learn about ourselves.

Well, yes, it would seem pretty stupid. But it fits.
I`ll explain later, Since were talking about The end, Might as well talk about the beginning also...
Beginning of Earth/Animals
Alright, so in the bible it says earth and Animals and people are created by god.
BUT that can not be a fact, for in the bible it states it was at the beginning of the World, remember that people didnt appear on earth for Billions-Trillions, whatever years. And animals and Parasects/Bacterium lived on earth in the beginning. So the bible is Scientifically incorrect.
Science goes against all religions, The theory of Evolution goes against any religion stating the earth had been created by God(s).
imo, Religion is something to keep us of the Reality of our daily lives, something to Keep us running to achive something, yet stay Good and pure.

i would actully have to agree with all of that... people want to believe things more then they actully do. imHo

Wasnt the bible written ages after he died?
That, or someone could have kept a journal of the events that took place.
