Which is better: The Nintendo DS or the PSP??

Ok, here is a poll just to see if people think the Nintendo DS or the PSP is better. What do YOU think?

there has already been a thread like this me thinks...ah well, i reckon the DS is great for younger ppl, but a bit more blood'n'guts games couldnt hurt. i have a DS so yeh the DS is better IMO.

well i got a DS yesturday, and i must say its the most awful atrocious bit of hardware i have ever used :( :(, not only is the whole interface yucky, it looks cheaps, feels worse, weighs on par to a brick, need i go on?


i just sooooo wish i hadn't been so stupid and bought one, i think i shall await PSP and just cry over the ds lol

well i reckon that instead of complaining on what ya got, why not just use it to your advantage? it may not be as good as the PSP but doesnt mean its bad

I say DS now, only because the classic games have always come from Nintendo. Weird old games like Super Mario and Yoshi's Island, etc, they were classics. Go Nintendo!!!

I love the ds but nintendo has not made many games yet and the games they made dont take advantage of the 3d graphics the system has to offer. the psp uses great 3d graphics and it has more games out than the ds i recomend the psp :eek:

ok lets put it this way: PSP STINKS!!!! first, you have to pay $200 dollars, AND ITS A HANDHELD!!!. second, its about $40-$60 dollars per game, AND THERE REAL SMALL DISCS!!! third, you cant play regular DVD's on it, you have to but STINKIN $30-$40 SPECIAL ONES! and then you got this $150 dollar handheld called the DS. it has two screens, is backwards compatible with all gameboy games ever made, and its games are around $10-$40. thats stinkin normal for a handheld. and all videos are from $30-$35 dollars, no more, no less. Basicly what im sayin is...SONY AND ALL ITS SYSTEMS STINK!!! first, the DS can only play DS and GBA games
second, you dont buy the PSP things...i think
third, you dont buy DS videos, you download the videos onto a play yan which isnt even out in western areas, and that cost $160 aus.
4th, sony have made a brave move, the games are strong and the PSP is an amazing piece of tech. instead of saying how bad each handheld is (this is for everyone) maybe admire the qualities of each one instead of saying" the graphics suck" "costs too much"

exactly, the DS isnt using the graphics, instead making crap puzzle games dammit. although splinter cell is almost out. few more days i thinks.

Everyone here has their own different opinions. Me,well,i'm a loyal Sony and Nintendo fan. A little bit of Xbox (at my cousin's house) in my fanlyness (<sanity). I like both the DS and PSP,not only because I own them both (it's true). But I like them because i'm a girl,that plays games. And if anyone here has a problem with me liking both systems (and not voting),then....TOO BAD (<!!!!!!!!). I like both systems,so what? PC likes the DS,so what? Someone else likes the PSP,so what? My point is (I actually have one,lol!) that everyone who posts or comes here,has their own opinions. So..it's techincally a war.

PS-I think this should be in General Gaming...not DS (dealing with PSP and DS here..).

I own both psp and ds personally i think psp is better its has alot more opthions then just playing games like music, pics, vids, internet, and you can download games movies pics and music from the internet directly to the psp.



Im not downing the ds its a great system nintendo made i just think the psp is better.

I reckon the psp is better because you can go on internet, not just wi-fi, play games on the internet, watch movies, see photos, has great graphics, better than the ps2 and has way more memory than the ds. The memory sticks have 1gigabyte of memory on them, and way more stuff.

I was going to say, don't bring back old threads but it could turn into a good debate again.

I've owned a PSP and I got to admit the graphics were nice but the lack of games lets the system down and most of the games I did want I could get cheaper on the PS2 in the first place. I eneded up selling it in the end.

It'll be interesting to see what changed are made for the PSP2... ;)

I've voted for the DS... wha? Me voting for Nintendo? Yes its true because of the amount of games available and for the fact that it can play GBA games. However I don't own a DS or DS Lite because handhelds are just not for me. I don't really travel a lot so don't see the need to own one.

i've tried both systems and i enjoy playing the ds much much more than the psp. i favor the game selection, innovative controls, and simplicity of the ds over the psp's superior graphics and capabilities

I'd say DS, by the way, Deoxys, you're probably talking about the old DS. I don't like those. Their fat and heavier than they need to be.

Despite me voting for the DS last time I was in this thread I have just purchased a brand new PSP3000 model! I bought it for the linkup with the PS3 really to stream stuff to it over a Wi Fi connection.

Altho not without problems. I updated the firmeware and it somehow broke the Wi Fi hardware inside the PSP so I took it back to the shop and told them the Wi Fi hardware within the PSP was broke and got a new one. Worked first time!

I dont see the point of a PSP 3000. I got my PSP 2000 during the summer, pandora'd it and all set. I dont need a bright screen.

PSP has a greater choice of games, to satisfy all ages (rather than younger ppl) and it can do so much more than the DS. Music, Movies, Internet access. I don't particularly like either anymore, but PSP owns. Even die hard NIntendo fans will have to admit (even tho you won't, you stubborn ****ers =P) that Nintendo in general, as good as the classics and exclusives mostly are, Nintendo's range of games is limited to a very particular age group..

I have an R4 on my DS so i can do all of that and I disagree with the better lineup on PSP because the DS wins in all aspects there. The only thing I like my PSP over my DS is the gfx.
