they might just of used a similar model for both characters

Hmm...It makes some good points, but also raises more questions...Could Gordon be a G-Man clone...? Odd...

Maybe but I doubt that Valve would take shortcuts like that, it was in dev for years and years..

hmm, Nice, but i see differences in the Structure of the nose and where the hair line starts. May just be me, but if you want proof we can always get the Base model of them somewhere. You can find just about anything on the net :)
Ah, another great conspiracy Theorie by cHilli! :P

you have to remember that one is an in-game model and one is from a poster

theory put by in another board;
-Gordon doesnt speak a word in HL1&HL2 , because you would identify him as the G-Man . I know , Valve says its because you can better identify with the character. But I dont think so.
-The G-Man comes from a bad future and he tries to change it.
His only chance is Gordon himself, so he travels to the past.
He knows what happens and helps Gordon.
-The G-Man says sth. like : "If you wont co-operate with me , there will be consequences and there will be a fight you can't win" to Gordon . How can he know?
-The G-Man says to Gordon : "You will understand when...I may not tell you yet" That shows that he knows already.
-We see at the end of HL2 , that G-Man can controll the time.
-What about the meaning of the gametitle? "Half-Life" could also mean the life of Gordon wich is divided in G-Man and "our" Gordon.
-The G-Man doesnt tell Gordon why he is doing that and for who he is working. Thats because he can't say "hey gordon , I'm you from the future , lets rule the aliens"
-At the end from Opposing Force , the G-Man says that you remind him to himself (sorry 4 bad english , I hope you understood this sentence)
-Gordon looks like 10 years before (HL2 plays about 10 years later) . He got freezed after HL1 and got thawn out at the beginning of HL2 . Nobody knows where he was and one of the passangers of the train says to Gordon "Where are you from? I didnt see you coming into the Train" .
Did the G-Man beamed him into the Train?

that 'half life' being a litteral meaning was weird

Hmm, this is an intreseting theory, although, i've only played HL1. And i didn't get far, but looking at the pics CHilli put on, G-Man looks like a twin of Gordon with a few changes in his face

this is the real meaning of Half-Life:
'The Half-Life of an element is the time taken for half the nuclei in any given sample to decay'
which really means;
'Suppose there's an alien species with a halflife of, say, 70 years. You randomly pick out 16 baby aliens and track them to see how long they live. After 70 years, of course, 8 of them will still be alive. '

And have you ever thought
GMan sounds like Freeman see it rhymes and the "G" part could just be the first letter from Gordons name so umm yeah
Gman=Freeman
G for gordon and man for Freeman see im clever :D

Tell you what, you guys should search for "Half-Life", "Half-Life 2" or "G-Man" on Wikipedia, it's an absolute gold mine of information. You wouldn't believe how much stuff is on there... :)

Well I aint played much of HL2 but if the G-man speaks? I think the voice behind him is the same person that gives you the crow bar right near the start... just a thought but probably wrong as I dont know if he speaks or not.

hmm this is very interesting maybe if theres a HL3 more questions will be answered and maybe more posed.... or valve could just leave it as a massive cliffhanger

I don't think so :) they didn't spend years creating the HL2 engine to stop now
