You've grown up in a small village far away from anything that would harm you besides thieves. The emporer of this country had put issues around the village and imperial city that says this...
Now is the time, my young civilians. I shall pay you well to do quests and certain jobs for me or any other villager or citizens. If you should help them,they must pay you for something you do.If,however, they donot pay you,report the name of who didnt pay you to me and they shall get a punishment worthy of how much gold you would of gotten. Remember, you are putting your lives on the line to do noble things for your fellow citizens.
Now you see this notice and decide to go and make some gold helping the townsfolk,knowing that you shall make friends,travel across the country and then some,battle fierce enemies and become famous.
