View Full Version : Nintendo presents their Revolution
The Genie
05-19-2005, 06:14 PM
The final look is unknown yet, but it sure seems like a small machine, not bigger than 3 dvd cases.
It can play all previous games Nintendo ever released for the older systems. It has WiFi and Internet capability.
Anyone who can add to this thread, please do so.

Well, Genie, I'll either copy or move my thread here. Lots of news from Nintendo. This console looks absolutely amazing.
I take that back, it's already here.

Yea and also nintendo has said the console is only goin to get lighter and smaller.
Old games will be downloadable - how mad is that!
controller hasnt been revealed as of yet because nintendo dont want the other companies to steal their ideas as they did with ****og and rumble pack.
And Revolution is only the codename, Real anem has not been chpsen yet.

This system is backwards compatible so Nintendo wins there as it had the best classic games and often the best game play. Stuff like Goldeneye and those old Mario games are classics now and the ratings for such games was quite high. I think that I will reject the Playstation 3 and get Nintendo Revolution.
Thanks,
HRBEK.

ihmmm first off backwards compatiblity? big deal the only games worth playing now are some old SNES RPGs
backwards compatibility isn't great at all, Sony (and a lot of u n00bs) thought it was genius to be able to play your PS1 games on PS2. pffft sif any are worth touching with a ten foot pole (FF series not included).
meh, it looks like it will appeal to retro gamers and the younger generation.
anyone looking towards the future of console gaming will clearly be able to see that Xbox 360 will lead the next generation

Ignore forsaken with his Microsoft fan boy reaction he's one of those people that thinks he gets paid by Bill gates himself.
Anyway on another note, remember it's how each company uses the hardware not it's top end power and then its down to the developers of the games to get the best in terms of graphics out of each console. Helps to have deep pockets as well to aford the best possible people.

And thats what you'll be able to play on the new revolution console because of their downloding service.

which might I add wont be a free service as predicted.... which is a shame really, Nintendo will make money from the people that want to play the old SNES games.

Well you can't give your products away for free I guess. They should try to make as much money as they can and who knows, maybe they will introduce another console in the near future.
Thanks,
HRBEK.
I am definitly getting nintendo cause I have every system since snes. I wasnt born for the other one
I think that "revolution" will cost around 300- 400 US Dollars

it's called a second hand store, $2 for a snes game $20 for a console
i saved ur asses hundreds.
i am offended by the comment of being a microsoft fanboy, i am simply biased towards the 360 because microsoft have proven themselves to me in their press releases, of course the real testwill come when the consoles are released, but for now. i see no reason not favor them

Second-hand video games won't last you anything longer than a couple of weeks (if it even works at all) usually. This way, you don't have to worry about trying to find something that may not work.

I'm having mixed thoughts about the X-Box 360 though. I know that I will be getting the Nintendo Revolution and the Playstation 3. That is mainly because they are home to the better games (in my opinion).
Thanks,
