ps 2 splinter cell

I like to play splinter cell, but I'm stuck at the beginning of th presidential palace. I have a splinter cell prima's official strategy guide, but where the guide starts & the game starts are not the same. I start the game with one guard patroling & one searchlight. The only place I can go, is to repel down into this tunnel with alarms on the walls. Every time I enter this tunnel I set off the alarms & I have to start the game over. The guide tells me to double- jump onto a platform, but there is no platform. there is a tall fence & a tall building that I cannot double-jump onto. "STUCK" If anyone can help I would appreciate so much.

somone will move this for ya soon, (PS2 forum) sorry tho I carn't help with that mission as I dont have that game, I have Splinter Cell CT (lastest game) no the first 1.
