The PS3 is backward compatible with ps1/2 but i have herd that there are no places to put your ps1/2 memory cards so whats the point if you cant proceed though a game

That my friend is a very good point!

I thought along the same lines with the 2 microsoft consoles as the Xbox has a HD and the memory cards you can buy for that might not fit into the slots on the front of the Xbox 360

Back to the PS3... my guess is Sony will design a USB pen stick/flash drive that can be detected by the PS2 browser software when you plug into the front of your PS2... send ya game saves to that and then plug the USB pen drive into the front of the PS3 and send it to the xsternal Hard Drive.

Thats another point... will we have to buy this exsternal HardDrive because there is no memory card slots on the front of the PS3? I've not seen a clear 360 decrease view of the console so not sure but if iut hasn't then what do we use to save PS3 game progression? O-o have Sony sliped up?
