Fable Runtime Error

When I try and run Fable i get an error message that says

Microsoft Visual C++ Library

Runtime Error!

Program: ...iles\Microsoft Games\Fable - The Lost Chapters\Fable.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support for more information.

Does anyone know what I can do?

My specs are
CPU: Pentium 4 with 1.8 GHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA Geforce4 MX440 64MB
OS: Windows XP
Memory: 768MB of RAM

uninstall and install it again. sometimes works.

I tried that it didn’t work. I looked around the internet and discovered that it is because my graphics card does not have sufficient pixel shading abilities so I shall get a new one. (it’s about time I do.)

that graphics card will give low fps, so its about time to upgrade thats if you want play that game smoothly
