Xbox 360s playable at Wal-Mart

Joystiq had a story up earlier today of a reader spotting a playable Xbox 360 kiosk at their local Wal-Mart. A quick call to the Electronics department proves that it wasn't a hoax and now gamers all over the country are reporting their local Wal-Marts have the units too.

So head on over to Wal-Mart.com and use the store finder box in the rightmost column to find a store near you and inquire about this interesting development. Joystiq reports that the unit they were told about was set up with Call of Duty 2, Kameo: Elements of Power and King Kong demos.

So what are you waiting for? Storm the Wal-Mart!


Turns out it's no trick either as one of the other game forums I go to one of the members there has had a sneaky play.... I wish we had Wal Mart here in the UK, maybe some of you US peeps should go and check it out!

Thanks for the tip Nitrous. I'll check my local Wal-Marts hopefully. (I have 3 really close but I hate 1 of em cuz it's ALWAYS crowed NO MATTER WHAT! There could be a bomb attached to somebody and no one would leave! :mad: :D )

yea it's part of the Wal Mart "family" but the UK never gets a lookin on anything early... + it would cost em money to ship them over.... so I doubt we will ever see an Xbox 360 in any shop until at least December 2.

Sorry for double post but I played an Xbox 360 today in GAME... some rather rubbish game that had been paused but gave an idea of graphic leap.... might play it on friday and try out the Demo of Call Of Duty 2 (XBox360 version)

So anyone check out there local Wal Mart?

lol yea I played that demo on friday! LS did the same at his local store. Very impressive and will probably be the best FPS game out until Halo3 arrives.

Yesterday i played "Kong" the graphics were so great and somehow i got past T-rex lol
