I'm surprised no one has started this thread yet. I bought NFS:MW the day it was released for XBOX 360 (had the game before the console). I've been playing it quite a bit, but I have a lot of questions I can't seem to find answers to. Thus, I've started this thread in hopes to learn more about the game (and the XBOX 360 for that matter).
Please use this thread to post any information about NFS:MW or use it as a general discussion for the game.

I've looked around and found a few cheat codes. I hope there will be more when the game is played more. A money cheat would be nice, altho if you cheat....you're only cheating yourself.
At the "Press Start" screen, enter the desired code. Use the "D" Pad for the directions. If you did it correctly you will get a conformation. Either by a message saying the result of the cheat, or by a simple sound.
Free Upgrades*
UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN.
*NOTE: Not exactly sure if this code works. Someone tell me if it does.
Castrol Version Of Ford GT**
LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN.
Porsche Cayman**
LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN.
**NOTE: Cars that are unlocked using the cheat codes are not unlocked in career mode. These cars will be in the "MY CARS" section of the main menu.
Burger King Challenge***
UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT.
***NOTE: This code unlocks a challenge mode in the main menu. By completeing this challenge you will unlock all unique parts including junkman parts.
I hope these are helpful to someone. I found all that I could, altho I'm shocked to have not found a cheat for extra money or one to unlock cars in career mode. If anyone finds any other valid cheat codes please post them in this thread. Thank you.

During my quest to bring you the cheat codes for NFS:MW I came across a few useful hints I'd like to share.
MARKERS:
Okay, when you defeat a blacklist racer you are given a choice to choose 2 of 6 markers. The first 3 markers are question marks. They may contain additional cash, get out of jail free cards, additional impound strikes, the pink slip to the Blacklist racer's car or other items. The last three markers are unique visual upgrade, performance upgrade and parts upgrade. When choosing one of the last three markers, altho you know the type of the marker, you will not know what actual upgrade will be. (I.E. engines, spoilers, superchargers, etc.) I suggest, at least early in the game, to chose the first 2 question mark markers. Altho they are supposed to be random, some people think these first 2 contain either extra money or the pink slip to the defeated racer's car.
CAR TEST:
Use the cheat codes to unlock the cars and the Burger King Challenge. After you complete the challenge, go to "MY CARS" in the main menu. Select a car and upgrade all the parts (upgrades are unlocked through career mode).Don't forget about junkman parts. By doing this you will be able to test out available cars with all the updates to see how they handle, top speed, acceleration, etc. without spending any money you've earned in career mode.
NOS:
When going through a tight curve or when sliding, if you punch the nos at the right time it will help stabilize your car. Practice this and you'll never be busted or lose a race.
RECOMMENDED CAR:
Purchase the Cobalt SS as your first car. It's the cheapest of the available cars and has the most speed. You can use this car until you gain enough money to purchase a new one or win a blacklist racer's car.
TWO CARS:
Always keep and extra car in your safe house. If for some reason one of your cars becomes impounded you'll always have the extra one. If your car is impounded, and it's your only one, game over.
MONEY:
Need more money? I have 2 hints for you. #1 - You can always re-play any race from any blacklist racer that you've defeated. You can re-play old races as much as you want and collect the prize money over and over. #2 - Won any cars from the blacklist racers? Drive one of these cars to the parts shop and go into the "PARTS" section. Start with body kits and select first item (far left - known as stock). Do this with spoilers, hoods and roof scoops. This will only work in "PARTS". Unless you want to lose money, DO NOT attempt this in "PERFORMANCE" or you will use your money to purchase any changes.
AVOID POLICE:
After most races you'll hear the dispatcher alert officers of complaints against you. If you are not wanting to run from them and they aren't chasing you at the end of the race, press start as soon as the race is over and jump into your safe house. This will avoid a pursuit by the police.
AUTOSAVE
Remembers those question mark markers? One of them contains the pink slip to the defeated racer's car. Here's a hint to get it every time if you don't mind spending a little time. When you've completed enough milestones to challenge a blacklist racer jump to your safe house and save the game. Challenge and defeat the racer. Select the markers you want. If you didn't aquire the pink slip (and this is what you aimed for) re-start your console. You'll start back up just before the blacklist racer challenge. Challenge and defeat again. Select markers. Do this until your desired prize is achieved.
ONE STOP SHOPS:
Wanting to upgrade your car and don't want to drive? Press start, jump to safe house, (good time to save) then return to free roam. Drive to the right, at the top of the hill is the parts shop.
PERFECT LAUNCH:
At the start of each race if you hold down the trottle your car will do a burn out before taking off. This wastes time. Slowly squeeze (or press) the throttle until the RPM needle is between 4 and 5. The needle will change colors. Hold it there until the race begins then punch it. If you did it right it'll say "PERFECT LAUNCH" after the 3-2-1 countdown.
It might be possible that the Free Upgrades cheat I posted is incorrect. I'll post the new cheat just in case.
Special Marker*:
UP, UP, Down, DOWN, Left, Right, Up, Down.
*NOTE: This cheat will unlock a special marker for the junkman engine in the backroom of the One Stop Shop.
As always I truely hope these hints are useful to someone. Know of anymore? Post here.

I don't like to post in here because of that person saying I was "Double Posting". I still have no idea what he was talking about and besides, if I was doing something wrong why not try to help instead of making me feel like an idiot?
As far as videos, there are several sites that have video clips of the game. The one with the most videos I've seen is http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/740/740901/vids_1.html
Surprised by a quick ending, yesterday I beat the game. Anyone have questions? If I can help I'll be more than happy to. Send me an e-mail or post a reply here.

Double posting means posting 2 posts right after each other, without waiting for someone to reply to the first post(quick message) you've send.
So the 2 posts you've made, can actually be put into 1 post because they're both yours, and you can edit your first post, put the comment from the second post in it, then delete your second post, so you have one useful post :)

Thank you for the information and will from now on do my best not to double post.
As for my last post, I beat the main part of the game, meaning I beat all the black list racers. I am now at 88% completion of the entire game. I'm not sure what it will matter if I continue to 100% but I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens.

Using my girlfriend's profile, we managed to beat the blacklist using only the Cobalt SS. We upgraded it as the parts were available, but I find it strange we were able to progress thru the game with the first car we obtained.
Just something to think about.

In a previous post I mentioned how to use the bus depot for increasing your bounty. I'd like to change that just a little bit.
After getting a few cops chasing you, go to the bus depot. Inside the depot there are two ramps, one leads to the top of the buses, and the other leads to a flat platform.
I've learned that if you drive onto the platform it has many more options.
You can see behind you better, turn around easier, and you are able to re-enter the depot when you aren't able to on the buses.
Now here's the best part. If a cop happens to find his way onto the platform, simply drive off and the cop will follow. When you and the cop have left the platform, press the back (reset) button and you will be back on the platform and the cop down below.
**Don't use the back (reset) button on regular roads during a pursiut. You will be busted no matter how far away the cops are**

Can I just ask one thing... is it true there are more tracks and cars in the black edition version of the game or it just a diffrent case/image colour?
cementfrog

when you enter the bus depot, look around. There will be two ramps on one side. One ramp leads to the top of the buses, the other leads to a flat platform. You can either drive onto the top of the buses or onto the other platform. They both put you above ground level so the cops are driving around below you. I found a video that someone made that shows him using the bus depot. it'll show you both ramps.

As for the difference in regular and black edition... I don't really know for sure myself since I have the regular edition. I've heard that the black edition has 2 new cars, new tracks, and also comes with a DVD that has interviews and behind the scenes footage. If anyone can confirm this I would be most thankful.
