I have been looking around in the Nintendo 64 section, and for Banjo-Tooie I have found 2 bogus cheats. They are:

*Play As Boggy
*Play As Gruntilda

Also for Pok'emon Stadium, the following cheats are fake:

*ChronoMew
*Get Togepi
*Real way to get Muk (Wrong game)

There is also a small problem with the Magnemite cheat for Pok'emon Snap. Can you edit codes Genie? If not, delete that one and I can send in a clearer version (under either the current sender's name or mine, but that is up to you).

By the way, the following cheat for Mario Party 2 is fake:

*Play as Bowser

I'm checking over Yoshi's Story cheats right now. I have found a fake cheat for it now......

*Purple Yoshi

There is a cheat for Fighter's Destiny that is wrong. Here it is:

*Winning poses (I know this is wrong because you don't need to press any buttons to make the characters do winning poses)

Thanks,
HRBEK.

The Genie

thanks hrbek, i will remove them today.

Good stuff Genie. I have found a few more bogus cheats........ Here are 4 that I am positive are fake (for Pok'emon Ruby; Gameboy Advance):

*Blue Electrike
*Deoxys & Jiirachi (not [N]eto's cheat under the name; "Deoxys 'And' Jiirachi")
*Find Jirochi
*Green Taillow

The reason I am so harsh on cheats that tell you where to find Shining Pok'emon, is that there is actually no set place to find them. I myself have seen similar cheats and went on a mindless hunt to find such Pok'emon, and have failed, and I don't want people doing the same after seeing the cheats on our site. It is bad for our reputation.

I haven't finished checking the Pok'emon Ruby cheats, so expect more fake cheats there.

Thanks,
HRBEK.

Sorry for double-posting...... From now on, I will update this post if I find any more bogus cheats, and I have found a few, and a few that are slightly inaccurate.

POK'EMON RUBY VERSION

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

*Magikarp (It can be caught using a Good Rod too)
*Mirage Island (As there is a more accurate code for the same issue just above it)

Bogus Cheats:

*Obtain The Legendary Deoxys Or Jirachi
*Pink Poochyena
*Rocket launch
*About mirrage island
*Shiny Swablu
*The Ultimate Pokemon Team (Just another dumb opinion)

Actually, I think they are the only remaining off-track cheats for Pok'emon Ruby Version........ There could be 1 or 2 that I have missed.

POK'EMON SAPPHIRE VERSION

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

*Magikarp (It can be caught using a Good Rod too)

Bogus Cheats:

*Blue and Green Carvahna (Shining Pok'emon can appear anywhere)
*Blue Electrike
*Catch a pokemon always!
*Catching Jirachi
*Deoxys & Jirachi (by: David)
*How to get Jirachi
*How to get Latias (I have not tested this one, but I am confident that it is fake)
*Orange Altaria
*Orange Zigzagoon
*Shiny Volbeat
*Shiny Swablu
*Shiny/weird colord pok'emon

POK'EMON LEAF GREEN VERSION

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

*Gengar (There are 2 cheats called Gengar, one should be deleted as they are the same)
*Puppy Starters ([N]eto posted a cheat that was exactly the same earlier)
*The Most Powerful Team (That is merely an opinion, and a very dumb one)
*Unown (DaRk WoLf sent this cheat in twice, but worded the two differently)

Bogus Cheats:

*Deoxys (By: pokemonmaster)
*Mew (By: DaRk WoLf)
*Sacred Ash (By: DaRk WoLf, didin't notice that I had already sent that cheat in)

POK'EMON FIRE RED VERSION

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

Bogus Cheats:

*Catch Deoxys
*Deoxys, Jirachi and Jiroxy
*To get Riachi

POK'EMON EMERALD VERSION

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

Bogus Cheats:

*Work a PokeBall like a MasterBall

Thanks,
HRBEK.

it is pathetic on how many fake cheats r sent in

Good work HRBEK!

HRBEK
12-30-2005, 03:22 PM
Lol, I agree with you there, but we must understand that some people do not send these fake cheats deliberately. In fact, some of these people may just be trying to help out. They may have seen these fake cheats somewhere else and just sent them in (not knowing that they were fake). Of course there are also those who are just low-lives with nothing better to do.

I have found some more bogus cheats. I will have them up right away Genie! By the way, I have been looking around in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System section and I have found a few codes that i believe are fake. I have already confirmed that one is. I will continue looking though.

SUPER BOMBERMAN 3

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

Bogus Cheats:

*Bonus Levels

Thanks,
HRBEK.

They are organised into alphabetical order.

Here are some fake cheats for Gameboy Games that I have come across:

POK'EMON SILVER VERSION

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

*Radio Tower Quiz (The answer to Question 3 is 'NO')
*Special Pokeballs (By: Andrew Bernish, this hint is already there)

Bogus Cheats:

*Celebi (By: Kez)
*Celibi (By: Rod)
*Golden Metapod
*Hint: Finding Golden Magikarp
*Light bue poliwag
*Rainbow Jynx
*Shining Onix
*Silver Hoot Hoot
*Special Bellsprout

POK'EMON BLUE/RED VERSIONS

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

*Unlimited items (Has already been posted; 99 of the 6th item)

Bogus Cheats:

*Get mew without a gameshark code
*How to get Mew
*Make an 'é' (I don't even know why he posted that)

POK'EMON CRYSTAL VERSION

Slightly Inaccurate Cheats:

*Mysterious Channel 13.5 (This code has been sent twice, one needs to be deleted)

Bogus Cheats:

*Defeating the Elite Four with one pokemon (Fool)
*How to get a Celibi
*Serebii

Thanks,

HRBEK

Lol, unfortunately, I know that I will never be able to identify all of the bogus ones. I can knock out a few. I will look through some other Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo Entertainment System game sections today and see what I find.

Thanks,
HRBEK.

^_^ You're good at this whole bogus cheat thing, HRBEK!! Maybe I can look through the PS2, Gamecube, and PSP sections of the games I own to see if there are fakes.

ya, maybe i could look though the PS2 section

~Felly~
01-01-2006, 08:38 PM
Just looked through Gamecube's Super Smash Brothers Melee and found a fake.

*Unlock Luigi (By: Matt)

You can't unlock Luigi by beating Adventure twice on any difficulty level. I wanted to add another way of getting Luigi, and I tried that. It's not possible.

Haha. good work Fire Element Lord! Keep looking, as there are probably hundreds of fake cheats still remaining. I will continue to edit my posts to include more bogus cheats!

Thanx, HRBEK. :D

EDIT-Found a bogus code...

Nintendo DS's Super Mario 64 DS:

*Have Toad wear your cap (You can get the hat back by just going up to Toad after exiting the level.)

EDIT 2-Found a double code

Nintendo DS's Super Mario 64 DS:

*Secret Slide (The code was posted 2 times. Delete one because they are the same.)

EDIT 3-Found another double code

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance:

*Job Classes (by: Nick Addy. Posted a complete one already. One should be deleted.)

EDIT 4-... I think you get the picture.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance:

*Recruit Judgemaster Cid (by: Nick. Posted by someone else with more characters added. Delete this...)

You know, it'd be nice if someone else posted...

01-15-2006, 06:35 PM
No problem, HRBEK. Besides, I was playing a game anyway, got bored, and started looking for codes. Speaking of codes, I found another bogus one.

Super Mario 64 DS (Nintendo DS):

*Bob-omb Battlefield Warp 2 (You can't warp between the indentations. I already tried.)

Dead Or Alive
01-15-2006, 06:46 PM
^ I tried that too.

HRBEK
01-15-2006, 07:28 PM
By the way, this code for Mortal Kombat 4 (Nintendo 64) isn't fake, but it is so dumb to think that it's even there. It involves telling you how to do a basic move for a character who isn't even a secret one. I suggest that the following cheat gets deleted:

Squorpion

Thanks,
HRBEK.

~Felly~
01-15-2006, 11:05 PM
Lol, whoever put it on there is crazy! :P Anyway, I'll be on the search for bogus codes later...

HRBEK

Here are some wrong codes:

"Get 3 Characters at One Time" sent in by "Wellie Fox" In Super Smash Bros Melee.

I tryed it on my black memory card and it didn't work you only get Dr. Mario I think.

---------------

"Get Toad" sent in by "Carrot" in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

I havent' tryed this but I know it is wrong.

----------------------

"Unlock Roy" sent in by "Fox McCloud" in Super Smash Bros Melee is kinda wrong you don't need to have two live to face him, you can have as many as wou want.

I have unlocked Roy so I would know.

--------------

and then there's the on that FEL posted.

~Felly~
02-05-2006, 10:36 PM
Actually, that one works... I tried it, you have to JUMP IN the indentation. They didn't say that. Anyway, teh, the 3 characters one works if you're doing it in adventure with Mario.

HRBEK
02-07-2006, 07:03 PM
Yes, be sure to test all cheats thoroughly before declaring them 'fake'.

Thanks,
HRBEK.

~Felly~
02-07-2006, 09:49 PM
Yeah, I was playing the game recently and tried that 'cause I remembered it. I tried it and it worked... So, yeah.

EDIT-Me find bogus codes! *yawn* (And I'm tired..)

Naruto: Clash of Ninja: *Gamecube*
*Unlock Nine-Tailed Fox Naruto (Posted already saying how to unlock all of the hidden characters.)
*Unlock Hinata (You can't beat story mode with Sakura, only with Naruto.)

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories: *PSP*
*Car Repair for Free by me (I posted the code twice without realizing it. Hehehe. The second one is explained more.)
*On the Radio by Captain Spanky (You can still take a mission and hear the news report. You just can't be in a cop car/ambulance/firetruck, as they don't have the normal radios. <Slightly Inaccurate>)

I'll try and finish finding bogus codes tommorow night. I'm surprised that I did a double code, lol. Ah well, everyone makes mistakes and I caught my own mistake. *yawn* Night, everyone!

EDIT 2-Okay, I'm back and searchin' for more fakies!!

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories: *PSP*
*Others Pay by Captain Spanky (The gun shop icon doesn't appear as an American Flag, it still appears as a pistol. <Slightly Inaccurate>)
*Roadkill by Captian spanky (This one is completely obvious... Everyone knows that a car can kill someone, even a 4 year old.)

Tales of Symphonia: *Gamecube*
*Cameos From Other 'Tales' Games (You can also fight Seles at the colosium. <Slightly Inaccurate>)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: *PS2*
*Beat Proffeser Quirrel (You fight Professor Quirrel in Sorcerer's Stone, as he is only in Sorcerer's Stone, not Chamber of Secrets.)

That's all I've found for now...

Just bumping up this topic people, so that The Genie can look upon it whenever he is ready to start clearing some of the fake cheats at www.cheatingdome.com!

Thanks,
HRBEK.

~Felly~
07-12-2006, 04:58 PM
Yeah... He needs to clear them out soon... I'm tired of looking at them. ^.^

HRBEK
07-12-2006, 05:22 PM
Perhaps he could put one of the Mods in charge of the site for a while. They could delete all of the **** and pass through some of the submitted codes. That might help.....

By the way, I think the following cheat for Mario Tennis (Nintendo 64) is fake:

"Get the Cyriel court"

I cannot be bothered testing it, because it involves holding the ball for an hour, so you can bet your life that it is fake.

Thanks,
HRBEK.

Gah, my boredum is getting to me, so I've gone and found some more bogus codes...

The Sims 2: *PC*
-Cheat Codes: The last cheat on the list, rosebud, doesn't get you 10,000 Simoleans, motherlode does. <Slightly Inaccurate>

Naruto: Clash of Ninja: *Gamecube*
-Unlock Sound Test: You must beat the game with every default character, plus Rock Lee to unlock the sound test. <Slightly Inaccurate>

That's about all I can find for now. Also, I've sent in a new code for The Sims 2: Nightlife... I'd like to tell Genie that I will also be using my new email, FireElementLord@hotmail.com, but I will still be using my FireElementLord@aol.com email as well... Just thought you'd like to know.
