Even though I'm starting to not like pokemon, I still play the games a lot. This is a quick review of Emerald.
Storyline: There's a good storyline in it. It's not like Ruby/Sapphire storyline. They edited a lot so if you had R/S it wouldn't be boring. You get to be on Team Aqua and Team Magma. There's also a different Gym Leader i Sootopolis and Steven isn't the League Champion.
Storyline Score: 9 1/2
The Pokemon: You can catch different pokemon than you can in your Ruby/Sapphire. You get to catch Rayquaza before you defeat the Pokemon League, and you get to catch both Groudon and Kyogre. Also, when pokemon are sent out to batlle, they don't just make noise as they come out of their pokeballs, they move as well. You can also get your pokedex upgraded to have all 386 pokemon. You can choose Latias or Latios without having to catch the only one you can on R/S
Pokemon Score: 10!
Graphics: The grapichs in Emerald are slightly different than R/S. They're kind of brighter. You get to wear a green in this. They're better the way they are now. You also get to see your items in you bag.
Graphics Score: 9
Extra: There are places called Battle Tents. You can do different kinds of battling there. There's something called Battle Frontier you can go to afteryou defeat the Pokemon League. You go to your house and your mom will give you a ticket to go ther from Lilycove/Slateport. There are There are 7 places where you can battle. You can win Battle Points to exchange for prizes. You can also catch Sudowoodo and Smeargle there.

Overall score: 38/40
This is much better than R/S. I liked it and thought it was worth buying
