What makes me afraid?

(I'm putting this here because I think it relates to the workings of my mind...so...yeah...)

I've got this on and off fear of the dark. It happens at the most random times, causing me to become super scared and can't go to sleep without some light.

Then other nights, I could sit in the dark for hours on end and not bat an eyelid at some sudden sound (the house settling, dishes settling, accidentally knocking things off my bed, etc.) .

What is it that makes me so freaked out about the dark one night, and then absolutely love it the next?

(If it makes any difference, I sleep with a special bear David gave me)

maybe sometimes think something bad will happen and others you just say to yourself that nothing will happen..........idk

maybe sometimes if you think nothing is there but you, then you here small little noises and get nervous, that happens to me sometimes

It's really weird...like a while ago, I woke up from a dream and was scared half to death at nothing. When the humming of the furnace came on, I was able to fall asleep again (I think maybe it was just too quiet).

could just be paranoia. i get it sometimes.. but i think i might have a faint case of ocd and thus i cant sleep with any bit of light comming though into my room. and then theres the case of it being too quiet like last night where i decided to sleep with the air con on and listened to that and thought about one time how we found a spider in an air con all frozen..

but.. yeah.. im sure its just random paranoia comming to get ya.

thought for the day: may all your dreams come true.. apart from the one where the giant spider eats you.

i usually cant fall asleep unless my fan is on........the sound id soothing, kinda like ur furnace
i even have it on when it is the middle of winter and freezing out!

I wish I had one. The furnace turns on by itself, so it's not a really any help to me. I have this sound soother thing, but...depending on the sound, it gives me different kinds of nightmares.

They aren't natural enough, yanno?

Yeah i'm on and off like that but around/About different things. Like i can't sleep because of random noises and things like that. I don't use a fan , but the sound of this mini-radiator thing that makes this humming noise helps me sleep. But other nights it annoys the shiz outta me.

My dreams vary on my mood or what I've been doing...Mostly. Like if fell asleep with the sound of the drain dripping one night while it was raining, I could have a weird dream while if it was somthing else I would sleep like a brick ^_^ lol

I can't sleep at all even if there's a tiny bit of light >_> Which annoys me soo much because we have a streetlight outside my house..Luckily my room is at the back of our house =) But If my little brother goes to bed at the same time as me (Weekends etc.) He would insist on leaving an outside light on >.<

But yeah I get paranoid somtimes too, like when i'm walking down a street at night and the echo of my footsteps makes me think there is someone behind me =P lol
Or when I hear a certain noise outside -_- Like that damned cat¬_¬ and then there's....God I hate that cat >.<

Lol, That's Just me thoguh and I've been told that I'm strange before ^_^

my worst fear is apendixitis

for those of u who dont know wat that is, its when ur apendix explodes and u get sharp pains in ur stomach and if u dont go to the hospital, then the poisness kill u

had a cuz who had that, and his momma didn't do a dam thing bout it, that boy only 12 and he laid in bed for 5 days......

but Soba, i have the same problem....cept most of the time i have my radio on, tunes out what unwanted noise there is. besides, litsening to music b4 sleep makes you feel better.....

Sometimes, quiet does it. Like if it's straight quiet, it's wierd, but when the air comes on, it's fine.....wierd. Listening to it rain outside of your window also calms you down and helps you sleep. Not thunder and lightning, but rain.

That wierd light/dark paranoia that soba was talking about also happens to me.

My Mom almost had that a few weeks ago. i had to take care of her so you may now call me Mr. Nurse. :P

Well, she was haveing pains and it was right where her apendix was. she didn,t feel like going to the doctor cuz it was so much money to her. And thats why im Mr.nurse....ughhh.
