Post your own poem. The closing date is: 2nd February. Their will be a poll then to see who got the most votes for their poem. Here's mine:

It

I. It is what we fear
It is very near
It is everywhere
It is now here

II. It is what we hate
It is not our mate
No, it’s too late!
It’s decided our fate

III. It shall kill
It shall murder
A place in hell
For you it shall order

IV. The end is coming
We’re all going to die
Useless is the tears
That you will cry

V. For it is coming
There’s nowhere to hide
With its army of demons
There’s no point to fight

VI. It is coming
We’re all going to die
The world on fire
Heaven a lie

VII. It can be joy
It can be peace
It can make
The murder cease

VIII. It can be darkness
It can be light
The two of the enemies
Fight and fight

IX. The war is over
There’s nothing to fear
Towns and cities
It shall repair

X. The earth is fixed
The clock now ticks
And to the devil
To hell you pr*ck!

Lol.......... Uh poem....... Let's see....... Try this:

Alone sat Jane on a filthy seat,
Feeding her Cat old Pig Meat.

A sound suddenly emerged from the Living Room,
She got really scared and picked up her broom.

She headed for the dark room,
Hoping not to meet her doom.

She entered the room and could barely see,
Her scared nature sickens me.

She heard another noice. Much louder than before,
She threw on some clothes and ran for the door.

This was scaring her right to the core,
But then she noticed something warm on the floor.

Suddenly she filled with fright,
Something was in her house tonight.

She flicked on the light and the room lit,
And to her horror...... She'd stepped in sh*t.

By the way, there is already a thread for poetry, so don't be surprised if this one gets Closed.

Thanks,
HRBEK.

There are many poems that use 2 line format like that. Just saying......... Yeah you're probably right about the point of this being a competition. It might not get Closed.

Thanks,
HRBEK.

ah well. here it is:
lemme know what you think of it k?

Under The Apple Tree

Whiling away time,
Away from the biting chill,
Away from the vulgarity of falseness,
Away from the world,
For just a few minutes,
Right under the apple tree.

Sitting there in the shade,
Away from the mindless chatter,
Away from the bling and the bang,
Away from the world,
For just a few minutes,
Right under the apple tree.

Throwing pebbles into the pond,
Away from the stench of power,
Away from the sebaceous glands of money,
Away from the world,
For just a few minutes,
Right under the apple tree.

Singing happy songs to myself,
Away from the pressures of adolescence,
Away from the expectations from adulthood,
Away from the world,
For just a few minutes,
Right under the apple tree.

Falling off to sweet sleep,
Away from the ***ual politics,
Away from the eve-teasing,
Away from the world,
For just a few minutes,
Right under the apple tree.

Dreaming of sunshine and rainbows,
Away from the realization of rejection,
Away from the stab in the back,
Away from the world,
For just a few minutes,
Right under the apple tree.

Waking up to your face in my mind,
Away from knowing you won't love me,
Away from still hoping you will,
Away from the world,
For just a few minutes,
Right under the apple tree.

Walking back to blend in the crowd,
Back to being one of them,
Back to being a part of the world,
Away from the apple tree,
For today, tomorrow, forever.
