It seems fitting that since there are members from all over the world on this sit, that there is a thread for the World Baseball Classic! It starts tomarow (March 2nd) and goes through most of March. It is spring training for the MLB players playing in it. I think the Dominican Republic will be very good. Many well known MLB players are pulling out of the WBC including Manny Ramirez, Billy Wagner, Nomar Garciaparra, and Robinson Cano. Not all countries have a team, but China, Italy, Mexico, America, Dominican Republic, Australia, Cuba, and The Netherlands do. The finals will be in San Diego, home of the Padres. So, what do you guys think about this first time world wide event?

I know that Jason Varitek and Mike Timlin are playing for USA and they are both from the Red Sox! Also, Roger Clemens and Johnny Damon( :mad: ) are playing for USA. Go USA!!

The Neatherlands won today, 10-0 against Panama. But they won't make it into the second round :P . Right now the USA is winning 16-0 in the 3rd inning against South Africa!!!
