Which band or artist do you hate the most? I ABSOLUTELY hate The Streets, his voice annoys me so much, I wannna shoot him SO much. And the song I hate the most is The Streets - When you WASNT famous. Wasnt? I hate that song so much.

No offence man, but Slipknot have no real talent. There are many far FAR more skilled bands out there that kick Slipknot in the balls. Their lyrics are whiney and emo-like (*shudder*), the vocals are annoying at times and, at best, basic. I believe they brought the heavy/clean vocal style to the mainstream (the style which FEAR FACTORY invented!) Guitars...meh, they're the same as all the other nu-metal stuff out there: downtuned and fairly simple. I'm not a good judge of drumming, so I won't say anything about their drums...their DJ/keyboarding skills are simple too, they just fill their songs with DJ scratches and over-used sound effects...so yeah...

Of course, I still like Slipknot, I have two of their albums...hahaha... :P

Whoa whoa whoa? Wtf? which Fear Factory invented? I hate fear factory, it's pretty much as bad as any of those bands in my opinion, Fear Factory never invented as you say, the heavy/clean vocal style.

That dates back to the really early days, Sisters of Mercy was one of the first Gothic Rock bands, other bands picked up from this and made Gothic Metal bands, Gothic Metal bands REALLY put the heavy/clean vocal style to use, especially with their male/female vocals.

Not alone Gothic Metal bands but so many more bands used it, Fear Factory is just a band like many others who picked it up, there's nothing wrong with it, but don't say Fear Factory invented it.

I agree that if you look at Fear Factory there are far worse bands out there who use the same style, it seems to have really hit the people, so no wonder there are a lot of bands coming out with the same style.

I don't want to be rude and not explain why I don't like Fear Factory, my reason is ofcourse that i'm extremely into well performed music and bands.

Examples are Manowar, Savatage and Joe Satriani/Steve Vai/Yngwie Malmsteen.

Manowar simply because the Bassist plays on a custom 8-string Bass Guitar, and can do mad solo's on his bass that only the best guitarists can do on an electric guitar. The Guitarist is so mad, he made a song called "My Spirit Lives On" It's the most insane greatest guitar work i've ever heard in a song.
The lead singer sings opera, even covered an opera song with his band, Manowar.
Drummer is INSANE!!! I love drums, and this guy is teh Drum Doctor.

Savatage because they use Vocals to the EXTREME! I've never heard anything like this, they do opera as well, but their own albums are so awesome, old Heavy Metal at it's best.

Joe Satriani/Steve Vai/Yngwie Malmsteen, Need I explain this? They are the Gods of the Guitars! Best 3 Guitar players on the entire world, their solo albums are awesome.

Fear Factory doesn't give anything like this, it sounds nice for a minute, but I can only hear it once because, well the Neo Trash/Trash Metal scene isn't really...that big, most songs sound the same, and there isn't really a rush you can get from them.

If you want brutal then there are far better bands out there, with actual great guitar solo's/work/experience in their songs, and they're damn technical, it turns your stomach around.

That's kinda my reason for it, accept it or not ;)

Mm, I was unaware that heavy/clean was used back then...as far as I knew, before 1990, metal vocals were pretty much a one-way system - either heavy or clean.

I do agree though, Fear Factory aren't the best when it comes to guitars, I've heard way better guitars from many other bands, and from artists like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. BUT! I can't help but love 'em, even if they aren't the most skilled band around when it comes down to the guitar work.

I honestly can't give reasons for my love of FF, it's one of those things where you love something because you do. :P

you can interpret it as talking about how nothing lasts, nothing is forever, enjoy it while you etc. or that it says that bad things don't last, there is always hope.
Songs are as deep as you interpret them, I think.
