In the latest HIDECHAN! Radio session, Kojima confirmed, that in fact a Metal Gear movie would be happening. During the session, the voice actress who does Mei Ling and Para-Medic (it also states Mei Ling will be in MGS4 and Para-Medic will be in a MGS PSP game) asks Kojima after watching the MGS4 trailer,
"Why don't you make a movie?"
Kojima says,
"We are. A Hollywood movie."
No other details were said.
Very thin news ofcourse, but it seems to be a fact from now.

NO!!!
OMFG!!!
YAY!!!! :D I've been waiting for details on an MGS movie for so goddamn long! I've been seeing Final Fantasy movies, a Silent Hill movie, and goddamn it, even a Doom movie! I've always thought "Why the hell don't they make an MGS movie? It'd be perfect!", and at last, details on a movie!
Sounds like it won't be out for a while, but who cares? MGS movie!!! :D

"Kojima believes it's best if any film based on the Metal Gear series stands on its own, unrelated to any of the games' storylines. "Things one can express in a game are different of those in a movie," he says. "It would have to be a very different script, almost a different story.""
So the chances are, we won't be seeing a movie on MGS1...
However, providing Hideo keeps a close eye on the movie and doesn't let a bunch of "We know video game movies better than you" Hollywood producers mess it up, it should still be an ownage movie! Let's hope it doesn't turn out like Doom:
"What was that?"
"...I think it was a monkey."

I don't think I'll be able to tell the diference between MGS4 and the movie, lol. It'll probobly be rated R, because the games are rated M, so I won't be able to see it anyway.

Doom bored me. They ripped apart the storyline of the game. In the movie, the monsters were created by the scientists genetically with a bunch o' formulas and crap. In the game, the scientists had been experimenting with other dimensions, and accidently found a gateway to Hell. The monsters broke through this gateway and got onto Mars. The storyline of the game was much better, it kicked way more ass than Hollywood's version of it. >_<
And...yeah, I just found it boring. Best part in it was the first-person part, that was cool. Made me want to play Doom 3 again, aha...

Doom movie sucked yup
The newest Doom game sucks just like it :P
It's supposed to be scary, my god what a boring game, stupid darkness, you have to use that annoying flashlight all the time.
If they were trying to make it like Silent Hill, forget it! Nothing comes close to Silent Hill! :)

Doom3 was a boring game and not all that scary. I've had more frights playing HL1 on the PS2 when the headcrabs came out of no where in one of the air vent shaft things lol.
As for the movie, I saved money and didn't bother as it had that rock guy in it... wrestler come wanna be acter...

A lot of what he did in wrestling was acting.
Terrible acting though. He was meant to make it seem like he wasn't acting when he was wrestling, when it was blatantly obvious he was. His acting was so melodramatic, it was (and still is) easy to see that wrestling's false.
