No, sir. You need an Old Sea Chart (which may be hacked into your game through a cheating device, or by a Nintendo Promotion) and an Emerald game cart.

Yes, but your chances are slimmer than slim. You need to do Mystery Gift with someone who has an Old Sea Chart.

...But I thought if you go in front of a trainer, press start, and fly somewhere, then battle another trainer, start will come up, you press 'b' and mew appears?

Or maybe that's r/b/y. Hmm... check google. ;)

thats yellow. i did that. you have to battle a youngster then go to the underground near celadon walk and tpress start and then fly and go to lavender as you take up the ?mark will come up and walk ansd he should appear. or it something like that.

I just thought since the tree glitch was still there (And the missingno... of course, you can't duplicate pokemon because of the new PCs), some of the other glitches would be too. ;) Oh well. Good luck finding a mew.

Yeah, Mew does not appear naturally in Fire Red Version. It only appears naturally in Emerald Version, and even then, it takes a Code Device to find it because I think the Nintendo Promotional Events have closed for the time being.

I dont know if it's true but a friend told you can find mew in the LG...but you have to defeat the elit 4 (12 times) and go to the cave in cerulean and find him in the wild.I still dont know if its true(i'll check out) if I get mew i'll fill in the details :D

If u had a cheating device such as ar or gameshark then u can encounter it

Mew was made available on September 30, 2006 at Toys'r'us events around America. He is level 10, has the MYSTRY OT ID and an ID of 06930. He knows pound and transform. When you went to the store, you had to have a pokemon you were willing to trade away. It was well worth it to get 386 pokemon.

If you want one, I can trade one to you (I got like 20 with my and my friends' games) once Diamond and Pearl come out. Just keep in touch, or join my Yahoo Group, the Hakkou league.

I occasionally make my way down to san diego (i live in southern oregon) to see family and friends. I'll tell you what, if you want to stay in touch, I'll bring my game down next time and we can trade if you haven't already found it.

@evilmaster: Meh, believe it or not. I have several legitimate Mew. It was funny because the girl giving them away had no idea how to. I had to show her what to do. :)
