View Full Version : Make a Pokemon city!

well if any of your are interested in making a city come here.

HOW DO I MAKE A CITY?
Use the sprites in this thread.
To use them, right click on the image and go to "Copy". Now, I'm sure you can make these on all sorts of graphic programs, but to make it easy, I'm only going to explain how to make them on Microsoft Paint. Besides the easier explaination, I highly suggest using Microsoft Paint anyways, as making a city appears to be much easier and more simple for most people.

Anyways, back to making a city. Open up Micrsoft Paint and go up to "Edit" (top left) and go down to "Paste". The sprites that you copied before should appear. Now that you have the sprites down, go ahead and copy any buildings/people/etc. that you want to use for your city.
You might need to keep a couple edit tabs open so you can get sprites at any time you want. I reccomend doing this instead of cut so you can use your sprites pics for future use whenever you want.

You all should already know about imageshack.
Once you copy the sprites, you can move them over and place them anywhere you want, thus, making your city. Don't forget you can use as many buildings, people, etc. as you want.

Need some sprites for your city? This is the place to look. Yeah- you can look on the internet, but your likely to find better and newer sprites here.

Paste them on Microsoft Paint to view their actual size.

It is too hard to do that with Paint. I'll have to use Photoshop or Photo Elements.

Heh, this like sorta fun, I'll just that a break from Sims 2 & work with this in Paint & Phto Editer. Uwwww:eek:, it also has Sprites for the new Pokemon game :D.

Hey that's awesome! Lol, I'll make one with Photo Elelments because it is easy to make areas of the images transparent and stuff. I'll make a massive city soon. I just need to find some motivation, lol.

Heres my city, its a little akwark because I couldn't find the sidewalk sprite, I also mixed things around (like the gym). Plus for some reason MS Paint made my town all distorted with little dots, so don't mind that....what weird is that I saved it & it looked fine but the next day it was all dotted.....

for sidewalk sprites, go to the spriters resource on the bottom of my thread, and look for a city, and copy and paste the sidewalk they have in that city to match your city, i copy and pasted the peweter city sidewalk parts to get the sidewalk for my city. (yes only copy parts of the sidewalk for use) and after awhile you'll get the hang of it.

Exactly! It is relatively easy to make cities with the program that I use. Pov'emon is actually a parody of Pok'emon. Pok'emon is short for Pocket Monsters, Pov'emon is short for Poverty Monsters. The cities are massive. It takes about a minute to get from one side to the other, and so it won't be finished until some time next year.

I might post one of my draft copies here... I'll have to place it in a WinRAR Archive!

Hmm... Revive the dead thread (If this is a problem then by all means lock the thread) Hmm... I made 1, don't really think I'm going to make any more. Now I'm working on Fire Emblem Maps.

Oh and good job Thunder lord on your first one. I thought it looked pretty good. I didn't really like the second one though, then again, That probaly was your first time. Either way good job.
