Yes you can change your character sprite, but the new sprites are often glitchy. Please state the following details and either myself or somebody else will get back to you:
-Your GameShark Version.
-What country you live in.
-The sprite you want.
-Your Fire Red Version.
Thanks,
HRBEK.

...but will the charater walking around and in battle be changed too?
Also, can I change my pokemon to a FAKE pokemon, or is that impossible?
Can I MAKE a sprite to put in firered?
EDIT: ...Without any special programs but a gameshark?
If not, what programs should I buy?

You can insert sprites of your own, but only with the use of Emulators. On this site, we are forbidden to discuss them.
You can use Code Devices (eg. GameShark) to switch between sprites, but not add your own. Now that I have your details, I will see if I have a matching code for you to change your character sprite!
By the way, what did you mean by "FAKE Pok'emon"?
Thanks,
HRBEK.
x3 Fake pokemon are pokemon that you make yourself, or combine two or more pokemon together. But I would believe it would be the same details as the ordanary junk that we are forbidden to talk about on here. Some people don't have a name for them... but it would be, like, combining oh-ho with lugia... or something like that. Or like painting an eevee flarion colors.
...If I spell anything wrong, I apoligize. (Most likely I spelled that wrong. x( ) Spelling isn't one of my... best subjects. Haha.
Thank you, once again!!

Yeah, I am a Game-Hacker now, so I can implement new Pok'emon. I already changed Mankey and Primeape. I will post some screenshots in the 'Hacked Pok'emon Versions' thread soon...
Thanks,
HRBEK.
Ha, I just make them, I never can figure out how to put them in the game. Besides, I don't want it to be too glitchy. ;)
Thank you!

I sent you a Private Message regarding the codes that you want, and if you have no time to read it, please note that I require the current (m) code that you are using. If you do not wish to provide this information, or you feel that it isn't necessary, I can send you a new (m) code for the game, with the Sprite editing codes that you want!
I have some Sprite Editing codes for Emerald Version and I think I have some for Ruby and Sapphire Version, but it appears that I do not have any Sprite Editing codes for Leaf Green or Fire Red...
I could search for some if you would like me to. You could also ask kio-oh-ki for them. He might have the codes that you are looking for somewhere.
Thanks,
HRBEK.
I don't mind either way. Sending me a new master code might be easier, but I don't mind giving it to you too. Emerald would be fine, but not as wanted as firered. :)
I wanna chnage my sprite
- The one that does both GBA & DS
- England

I did some investigating and I asked some of the people at the GameShark Forums about such codes and apparently, you are going to need a GameShark SP or something along those lines.
I myself, would not suggest that you buy a GameShark SP though, as Action Replay is far better. The GameShark v1.0 system is alright, but you will probably need a newer version to be able to use the more technical codes.
I tried to convert some of the Emerald Version Sprite Editing codes, but I can only convert them into Codebreaker codes and then into codes for GameShark SP...
Thunder Lord: The Action Replay Max Duo Version is extremely hard to find codes for. I will produce some codes though, as soon as I know the game that you want the codes for.
Thanks,
HRBEK.
I have a gameshark SP.
Version 8 is the pokemon maker one I clicked on, and it worked, so I figured you could do something with that one more likely to change the trainer then the SP...
Okay, I'm slightly confused, because at one point I used SP codes, but I began using ver8 later... I will check the box.
Yes, it is an SP.
Then why did the codes work for that without it glitching?

It's possible to do it with the gameshark, but it glitches your game REALLY bad.... The safest thing to do is hack your game but you'd need a flash cart if you wanted to play it on your GBA.

Beautiful! There are existing Sprite-Editing codes for GameShark SP! Just to be sure that yours is the correct version, does your GameShark SP feature codes like a) or b)?
a) XXXXXXXX YYYY
b) XXXXXXXX YYYYYYYY
Thanks,
HRBEK.

Yeah, when you convert Action Replay codes into GameShark SP codes, they look like a). Yes, b) is too long (uses Action Replay format). I have sent you a Private Message telling you what to do!
Thanks,
HRBEK.
