..how would they relate to real life?

Examples:

Voltorbs powering electricity
Muk and Grimer in the sewers
Tauros at a rodeo


Any other ideas?

I'd pwn all of my friends with Blaziken, lol. J/k. (I should really do that though.) Anyway, Flying types would be used as transportation for air and land. Water types could be used for crossing the sea or whatever.

lol the sad reality is if they did exist they would end up on the menu, can you imagine deep fried Ho-oh, or perhaps pidgeots on a stick.

Not to mention the slave labour, Machamp is just begging to be exploited on building sites/areas of danger.

I doubt it would be the utopia the games depict lol.
