Hmmmm, pokemonfreak, why did you zoom/blow-up the sprite image? And I have to give you a thumbs down for the ice-evo of eevee.....but I give you a 10/10 for a good recolor, besides the fact that the image is blown-up.

1. NEVER save sprites as jpeg. only as png.
2. The 1st one is just a recolor.
3. The 2nd one is strange looking. It's messed up.

1.Okay, I'm a newbie to spriting...what exactly is the difference between jpeg and png?

2.I based it off of Articuno, so the mane is Articuno's fluff on its chest which happens to be the same as Eevee's fluff and Articuno's tail shorted is like Eevee's tail but flat so it is bound to look just like a recolor.

3.It's just that the mane is practically covering its whole body.

No it's not. It's just a blown up recolored Eevee!

That is a good recolor of eevee but no fusion. Plus if you wanted to make a fusion of eeve at least make it look different. the eevil thing actually would look cool if it wasnt jpeg and if it wasnt blown-up

well the first eevee does look like its recolored but if you look real closely you can see his changes so its not just a recoloring of a sprite -_-

See? All he did was take off the black and add lines. That's not a fusion.

From what I can see that isn't a fusion, but he had edited parts slighlty. However, no Parts from other Pokemon have been added, so in my eyes, Its a Recolour.

Yeah. All he did was add 2 lines to the tail and color in the black on his ears. He didn't do ANY outlining or anything, and there's even some brown outline still.

Basically, as no one has bothered explaining to you here, it means a transparent background against a non-transparent background. Also, if you zoom into them, they become rather pixelated. Of course, anyone could size these down, but it still looks horrible at first appeal.

I do all my sprites in paint and they turn out fine.

Anyway, pokemonfreak, You can save them as JPEG's. I'm not bothered. But you might want to consider not blowing them up. If you blow them up to fuse then, don't. Use the paint zoom tool (The maginifying glass) ;)

And when you want to save, go to save as, then save as type(the drop-down box), then select which type you want to save your sprite as.
Also, if you want a good, free, & powerful paint program you can use gimp (http://www.gimp.org/).

Stop blowing your pictures up like that. It makes the quality worse and a lot of stuff is harder so see. Pokemon are 64x64.

Okay, now that I'm offering constructive criticism, I'll show you what's wrong with this.

This is your sprite. It's a jpeg. Looks okay, right?

Zooming in can further show you what happens when you do a jpeg. *Note* I savetd this as a png to keep the quality and colors how they were.

Sprites are supposed to have 3-4 shades of color, for each color on the sprite. Jpegs make them have over 100 different colors since thy miake colors blend. You can see a purplish color where the red mouth tried to blend with the silver. Jpegs also reduce sprite quality.

The next thing we'll go over is something called an artifact. They're random dots of color.

This is your sprite again. Looks good on a white background.

But let's make the background any other color. This happens.

See those white dots? Those are artifacts. You don't want those. They appear on ANY jpeg sprite, and ruin the whole thing.

So, here's what I want you to do. remake this sprite, but save it as a png instead of a jepg or a gif. Then let's see how it turns out.

Go to this drop-down menu and click on png. Then click save.
