Dead Rising - Small text issues

Just got Dead Rising today and its great but there is a huge problem with the text for non HD TV owners.

"Dead Rising was optimised for HD and we offered some suggestions for SD TV owners," a spokesperson for the US arm of the company told 1UP. No patch is going to be produced because of the amount of text included in the game apparently. I think its a p!$$ poor reason and I just hope this isn't going to become the norm amoung developers.

Will buy a VGA cable and the advanced RGB cable and see what happens as I've been reading some stuff that says this helps. If it don't I will return the stuff bk to the shop.

It doesn't spoil the game that much.. still a lot of fun, you have guided arrows to each scoop mission. Its just that you kinda miss out on whats being said.

Ah yes, I to notice the small text. My contacts can't even read what the survivors are saying when they yell something at me, it's horrible. Although, It might be fixed on a HDTV...as...will the kill count as sometimes that runs off the screen....or...when you mix juices the effect is small print and runs off the screen..

Though it's a great game...Doesn't spoil much if you like to read :o

Got that HDTV the other day from ARGOS... £300 well spent and I even got the VGA cable for the Xbox360 to free up the component inputs so I can use them to get the PS2 up to some sort of good image quality because using the standard scart on a LCD with it looks rather ugly.

Anyway, yes HDTV did fix the text issue and I wont ever play games in non HD again! Its amazing and at £300 its a bargin!

I figured Microsoft was going to go a little persuading on us in that secret way. "Hey, If you want to read this text that doesn't mean much buy an HDTV we want you to use more money than you already have on our Xbox 360"

Meh, I'm fine with my standard TV at this moment, wait till I get a job -_-

Ah, I guess thats a sigh of relief then. By the time I get my 360 I'll have my 51cm TV. It's not HD, but its ranks better than my 34cm TV LOL!

@FF: You have a 34cm TV and your getting a 51cm TV... I belive you have no idea how big 51cm is do you... lol *sigh* life is wasted on kids today....
