Yes, there will be an Episode VII written, but as George Lucas has said himself, casting wont begin until May of 2015, and projected release is 2021. And YES, the majority of the origional casting WILL be back, with Luke Leia and Han being the main contrast once again, although they do have sons now that are part of the jedi order.

Hold in there, give them their time, and enjoy the off-season. Ill find a quick script and edit it in to give more to talk about, but ure thoughts on the up and coming rise of Luke Skywalker to power?

There was a joke about this last year too around this time and they stopped it after April Fools..

Coincidence!? I THINK NOT!

then let me get a link up to the place to prove my stance. There IS going to be an Episode VII - IX Trilogy

Many of you may be joyous to hear that there will ALSO be ANOTHER Trilogy (Episode X - XII for those of you who lost count) but wont be out until 2045.

All the proof i need there, stated by GL himself

Won't believe it until I see it.

I did feel that episode 6 didn't really end, though.

George Lucas: This is the most common question I get here at SuperShadow.com. For the time being, I'm getting out of the high-end film business except for producing Indiana Jones 4. I'm going to concentrate on making programs for TV. These will be small-budget productions that will be a minimal risk to my pocket book. Yes, Episode 7 will happen one day. Ten years from now we can seriously begin to ask about the next Star Wars trilogy. Until then I'm just taking it all day by day. Have some patience. Episode 7 will be here shortly.

for those of you too lazy to go searching for it :P

I read a good portion of it. I don't know...the release/production dates seem too far away to have much to say about it.

Yeh sounds like they are working on Indiana Jones 4 right now from what i have found, and will start casting/shooting around May? of 2017 i think is what i read, and release will be 2024. We shall see, but personally, the movie outlines they have on there seem kind of interesting...

im with neto, dont you think 2015 is quite a while, then wait a couple of years to release it, and indiana jones movie, #4,i dont think it would be released in 2024....this is dumb...

I was looking at the ranks of the Jedi, as well as all the characters in the Star Wars film, and I do not understand how Luke Skywalker's Midichlorian count is lower than Yoda's (Yoda = 17,700 vs. Luke Skywalker = 14,500), yet under "Most Powerful Jedi Knights" he is number one.

I believe what ive found from reading around in the other areas, that the reason for this is that he either is the chosen one, or the offspring of the chosen one. Thus being said, it in a way is self-implied that he would be the strongest. IF you remember how strong Anakin was in Epi 2 and 3, and the power he could have, would he have stayed with the light, is represented through Luke. Thus, I believe one can assume that he had a more controlled grasp of the Force, allowing him to do things that others could not. And one must remember, Anakin turned to the Dark Side before his full potential was released.

Atleast that is what i could get from it, yet im almost wondering wheather or not Anakin really is the chosen one... in the end ridding the world of the Sith by dumping the Emperor in the power core, then in essence by doing so, tuning to the light killing Darth Vader and bringing forth Anakin Skywalker once more. It would make sense if Luke was the chosen one, beings, as stated in the books, not the last of the Old Jedi, but the First of the New. I may have to ask GL about that lol.

And I have stumbled upon a statement about 10-12. Apparently none of the origional characters used in the first 9 will be in that final trilogy. Personally, I think its jsut not Star Wars unless you have R2-D2 and C-3PO haha. Considering they are droids, shouldnt they logically beable to still be around then?

Star Wars I always saw as being a X part Film series. But, 2024 is a very long ways away. I have seen what the original characters look like now in real life and they are getting pretty old. I would be surprised if they made it to 2024. The Star Wars movies also come out every 3 years during a trilogy. So the VII-IX Trilogy would end in 2030. I would be like 50 or 45 dude. I just don't see that happening. Maybe an Episode VII But I don't see much.

As for Indiania Jones 4. As a kid I LOVED Indy. I still watch the movies today. But I know that there WILL be a fourth. I heard that way back in 2003 or 2004. Casting was in 2006 I believe or was supposed to be. Harrison Ford even said "George Let's make one more". I haven't heard much of it since but I know it will NOT be in 2017 or 2024. At least I hope so.

Indy 4 is set for release next may :D

But with the next three in the SW series... GL said as much of the origional cast members that can come back will be back. They will make it, and have already read the screenplays, i honestly cant wait for them to come out.

firstly how long is George Lucas planning on living??

secondly that supershadow site is load of sh!t and has been for the past few years.
im not sure if he still has it but he used to have a "supershadows girlfriend page" which he updated with a new model every week.

Then there's the real hard evidence against him:

In issue #90 (Nov-Dec 2006) of the Star Wars Insider, Lucasfilm's Pablo Hidalgo stated in response to a question about Supershadow:

"The site, and the person who runs it, have absolutely no relationship with Lucasfilm or George Lucas. The person who runs it has never met nor talked to George Lucas. So-called information, 'scoops', and interviews on the site are complete fabrications. Lucasfilm has taken action against the site several times when it has attempted to solicit fans' money under false pretenses."

search him up in wikipedia 4 more info....

If they do indeed make 6 more movies, it would be insane. Episodes I-III look great, imagine how they will look 10-15 years from now? All of this seems very sceptical right now, but it is definately something to think abouit...

The site does seem poorly executed, hence my initial doubts.

It still seems pheasable (sp?) that it can be correct. I was listening to the C-3PO portion of the weblogs on the second CD of Episode III, and near the end GL says: This is the end. Guess I wont see you for another 15 years.

I believe this is going to happen, and its right on about Indy 4 with dates and such...

Sorry for the double post here, but i wanted to catch a touch more attention. I found this searching just now on a credible site:

http://www.themovieblog.com/archives/2004/09/mark_hamill_spills_some_dirt_on_star_wars_episodes_7_8_and_9.html

and that backed with the fact that i stated earlier that GL in one of the Weblog Videos in the SW Ep III DVD in which he said to C-3PO (cant remember who plays him off the top of my head) "see you in 12 years" kinda gives me the feeling that there will be more. This SS guy/site may not be entirely credible, but I do believe that there is another trilogy on the way.

Yoda is still listed under the same category, and is below Luke.

Uh, then Yoda has quite the concentration in such a tiny body, considering it's about a 3,000, and 3 feet-something difference.

It was listed wrong. I checked a lot of other sites and it shows Yoda's at 17,700.
