Need help with internet!

Ok, my internet won't work. I go onto the security thing trying to make the internet work on the browser settings, and it says I need a password. But I don't know the password! Help plz!

You shouldn't need a password. You just need a USB cable that's compatible with your PSP. I've already tried it once, and I didn't need a password. Unless you're talking about the SSID? Because I need to know what the SSID would be...

Take a look at your manual. Most electronic devices come with a pre-set password (usually by default) that requires entry. You should be prompted to enter your own custom password at that point, and allow you to connect to the internet. Also, check your internet settings. Your firewall/internet connection could be password protected.

It's not the 4-digit number pass im talkin bout, i know that. Its the one like 24 characters on the makeshift psp keyboard... Any other suggestions?

Thats the security thing for your personnel internet connection . You do have wireless yeah? You need that for the PSP's internet I think.

And when i go to the internet browser directly from home, and put in the url, it says the loading screen, then: An error has occured. The connection point was not detecting.

you need the wep key... im guessing it wirless....
this is easy to do if it is....
most wirless router work on a 128 incription the wep key is not the password you have set but a pass that the router has set automatically...

you need to know what make and model router have you got and who is your internet provider... supply me with these and i should be able give you step by step instructions

Your defoult password should be 0000 if that is not it than go to psp settings and then go to restore defoult settings then yur password should be back to 0000 and this shoulden't pose a prob. ;) note: THE PSP INTERNET SERVISE STINKS! your better off using the PC or MAC

when i was trying to get on the internet, i had lodes of trouble but then i realised that i had to enter the SSID of my router. if thats what your looking for, theres usuly a sticker or summin on the router.

i think this is a bit old but if anyone needs it it is the WEP key like neo said , i had the same thing

You Will Need A WEP Key to acces the internet because it stops other people hacking your internet.
